Picked up a HP DC7600 with a 2.8ghz Prescott. Dumping in a Pentium D 820. Came with 4 matched sticks of DDR2 667 and was $20 shipped. Should make a great basic web browser for a family member.

Main pc: Asus ROG 17. R9 5900HX, RTX 3070m, 16gb ddr4 3200, 1tb NVME.
Retro PC: Soyo P4S Dragon, 3gb ddr 266, 120gb Maxtor, Geforce Fx 5950 Ultra, SB Live! 5.1

I probably overpaid. But I bought a pair of NIB Elsa Erazor X video cards (Geforce 256 32MB) for a total of 36 USD Shipped. Now the only question is will I open them or not.

Considering the cost of this old stuff is going up all the time, I'd say that is a pretty decent price. Nice find!

Elsa cards are great, and the first Geforce is something special 😀 I would open one and keep the other one boxed, if I were you.

Just arrived is the latest 386 motherboard added to the collection.

Note; - been looking for jumpers online, initial thoughts were that this is from American Megatrends due to the 3 little silkscreen triangles next to the date... but I can't find a match online, could I be wrong with the manufacturer?

Agreed, the "Winner 1000" for EISA bus really is quite tremendous.

My response to a terrible joke. To be fair though, there aren't many in-jokes like that around, so I should give kudos for that.

WOW!!!
that is a crazy looking monster! I vaguely remember seeing a card once that worked like that with PCI/AGP, what it was escapes me now though.
Very cool card you have there anyway.
Best,
Chris

Not a retro item as such. Just a 3.6 volt battery for my 286.
The original is too expensive to come by, so I was lucky to find this at a decent price.

Then I bought some 300+ pieces of shrink wrap. Cheap too.
As I need to cut off the wires from the original Tadiran battery, and solder it to the new one.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/328Pcs-Assortment-Hea … poAAOSwwpdW855i

I think the old has kept up pretty nice. Ran for 20+ years, and I think this machine will not last for more than 10 from
now. So a nice non-Tadiran battery, may just be good enough before it dies completely. No need to pay more.

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

Just bought 2 of the shrink tubing lots. Can never have enough shrink tubing.

Also, my Roland RAP-10 and CT1690 have just arrived in the mail. The Roland card came together with about 4 pounds of manuals, including for other hardware (SCB-7 about 2 manuals, a Roland sales brochure from 1993 etc) and a CDR hand-written "Roland drivers Win3.1" I had hoped that there would be a SCB-7 in the package when I saw the manuals, but no such luck. 😀

Unfortunately I can't even test them. Currently packing my bags because in 2h I leave for the airport, and won't be back until mid-July.

I've been looking for a decently-priced V1 for a while now. Got this for less than 8 bucks. Came with a DIY pass-through cable, so I'm about to find out how good this one works. Will use it in my Pentium-166 build. Voodoo 2 will stay in my Pentium Pro and Voodoo 3 will wait for when I decide to build a PII/PIII machine.
