Bought a PCCHIPS M919 486 board today, was going to pass on it initially then spied it had the correct cache module included! Looks like from the jumper settings it also has an 5x86 chip fitted. Looking forward to having a play 😀

I've gotten addicted to PS/2 stuff lately. Just won this auction yesterday for $8.27 + shipping. This appears to be the 8086 model 30 variant, and looks like it may have a hard drive, or at least the bezel for it. I can use some of the parts for spares, and use the hard drive (if it has one) in my model 30 286.

You pleaded to the seller to pack it right...right? 😀

I haven't, but I probably should. The last Model 30 I bought survived without any trouble, probably because it's an all-metal case and not plastic like the model 50 was. This seller has a 100% feedback rating + their name is retroworks...so they probably know how to properly pack a computer.

I know I've been trying to get rid of stuff, but I was at the surplus place, and I couldn't help myself. For $5 each, I had to say, "YES!". Maybe I should just combine these into a system?

Also, I'll be making a thread about this complete Everex system I bought from the original owner, who used it in the computer animation field. Total cost for this rig was around $14k when he got it, and that doesn't include the three boxes of software and accessories that came with it.

I'm gonna get to it, I promise, just busy.

Been purchasing things here and there. Most of what I have below is salvaged from "scrap gold" lots i purchased for the express purpose of saving the equipment. I purchased the voodoo 3 for 40$ and the pc100 board for 40 as well, its a ss7 board with agp and bios hacks for the k6 3+

Stopped by my local Goodwill store on Saturday for a pair of shorts. As I walked out I noticed this LCD sitting on a desk marked $10 and walked over for a closer look. There were some minor scratches on the LCD panel and decided not to buy it, and continued to walk out. As I was throwing my stuff in the truck, I had a change of heart and walked back in, grabbed the monitor and proceeded to the nearest register. Cashier tells me that the green price tag meant it was 1/2 price, so instead of $10, I ended up only paying $5! It's a Mitsubishi DiamondPoint NXM76LCD and works perfectly. You can't even see the scratches when it's on. Also scored a mixed box of 12 Staples / 3M Imation diskettes with a bunch of extra diskette labels for $2 as well. 😁

I love seeing Mitsubishi on my monitor, that's why I bought that old Diamondscan, last week. Nice find, man.

This is my first post here. This may be the only thread I post in for a while (I collect vintage computer parts, mostly graphics cards).

I just struck a deal on a Tseng Labs ET1000, a card I have wanted for several years. Might be able to play Pong or Tetris on it (but it's more likely it will go in a display case).

See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.

Never seen an ET1000 before. Not even an ET2000.

Indeed, hence why its worth checking the coast looking module is included as the chips on the board dont do anything 😎

I just bought this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/171851993205

I offered $100 (before shipping), and they accepted. Probably could have offered lower (so it ends up being $100 shipped), but I can't believe how much the Asus P5A motherboards alone are going for.

The CPU being only 350 MHz will probably be helpful in letting me adjust down to play old DOS games without speed issues, and if I want, I could always plop in a Pentium 166 MMX. I don't think I need to, though. I may be able to get it down to 2.5x 66 (166 MHz) (I don't recall this CPU being multiplier locked). My goal is to have the ability to play old 386/486 games without speed issues.

Update: Seller just informed me it's a rev 1.04 board. I don't know if that's good or not. I read somewhere 1.06 has issues with K6-II+ and K6-III+ CPUs, but earlier boards do not. Other than that, i wonder what issues rev 1.06 addressed.
