I've seen this a lot of times in ebay, the listing says "10 video cards" and in the photos you see video cards, capture cards, sound cards and usb and network cards... it seems that to some people the unique kind of expansion cards that exist are video cards 🤣

A computer shop in Australia was selling a bunch of graphics card. They were new, and very good price. When they arrived, the box was massive. Turns out they are all NIB!

3x GTX 250 with 1 GB.

Nice find. Scoring GPUs like that for cheap here is not easy, by the way, the GTS 250 is a rebranded 9800 GTX+ (literrally same specs and same G92b core). I once found a GTX 280 for 35 € which i didn't have oportunity to get 🙁

Got a P4 system on craigslist for $20 today... I was more interested in the case and everything else except for the P4 and the mobo. Here are some pictures...

The case is an Antec SX1080 and it came with a 430W PSU. Seems to work fine.

Bought this nice 386SX-20 at a flea market for 10€

It was raining yesterday so I had to dissassemble it or it would have rusted. I don't have the charger (It requires 15V 🙁) but I can power it with the battery connector where it only requires 9V

The conner HDD (60MB woo !!) had it's heads stuck, but I managed to repair it and now it works perfectly (no errors in scandisk)

There is only one issue left ... the floppy disk drive, it's belt is dead so I need to change it

My 486-based T4600 has that same floppy drive issue I think.

Just took the plunge and ordered a ROLAND SC-55mk2 from japan. 98$ shipped. I would have prefered an MT32, but the cheapest one I could find would have brought me 40$ over budget 🙁 Still, can't wait for the SC-55 to arrive 😁 - I'll need to find or build a DIN5 to DS15 midi cable for it tough... and I'll need to find an appropriate 9v PSU.

I also got this lot of serial mice in for 14$. All of them work. Two of the Logitech mice need the left click switch replaced (easy job). Dirty old G600 not included of course 😜

I was surprised to find that some chinese made universal power bricks come with 9v, 12v, 15v, 18v, 19v and 21v heads witch match quite a few old laptops and newer odd-ball designs (like the inspiron 8200). They're pretty cheap and the one I bought is pretty weighty too unlike most other universal bricks.

The FDD belt is an easy fix - get some thick surgical thread - the non-degradable kind - you can fasten into a really nice belt replacement. It works for optical drives too. Just make sure it's not nylon thread, and make sure you tighten it sufficiently.

I have recently bought at a flea market this 286. 40eur with its original carrying bag.
Probably a bit too much , but it is rare to see old pc's in flea markets in my country, you mostly see classy and antique furniture and non-electronic stuff, so i decided to buy it!
It's a Lemon! Nice sounding name here in Italy, the brand started by cloning the ...Apple... 2 hardware, then they decided to enter in the ibm pc clone market.
Not a good name for an English PC i've heard 😀
Has 1 mb ram and a 20 mb Miniscribe hard drive (with ide connector.. i wonder if it's really ide tho)
Floppy drive works. Here's the test with dos 6

Battery is dead (both the 12v power supply battery and the 3.6v clock ) I'll have to replace both. There's also the tiny internal fan in need of replacement.
Hard disk is KO, i've tried to replace it with a CF with no success, BIOS is really barebone you can't modify hard drive specs (strangely enough detects a 20 mb hard drive even if it's disconnected)
There's also 2 ISA expansion slots. 8 and 16 bit. I wonder if i can put a 2nd controller in it and finally use some CF as hard drive. I'm quite sure that the BIOS won't allow me that.
Good lord i really need a service manual for this pc.

Just so you know, the motherboard is probably the most sought after 478 mobo, you can sell it for more than you paid for all the system, and it seems to have also two very nice Corsair XMS memory modules.
Also, wtf is the video connector on the Ati?

Someone loved that system. I had the same case for mt p4 system.

Bought this Colorado Memory Systems FC-20 card today just so I can use the onboard Molex power connector. My plan is to use it in combination with an IDE controller to run an IDE drive in my PS/2 Model 30 286.

Exactly what I was thinking; I looked it up on eBay and Google... seems to be a high end mobo for the time. I ordered an MX440 for a few bucks to test out the board before selling.
