I mean I know most of the stuff on here is somewhat geeky by comparison with normal life but OH MY GOD that's the geekiest thing I've seen for some time.

Check out my blog and YouTube channel for thoughts, articles, system profiles, and tips.

Interesting! 😁

🤣!

Ha, nice! Have you used the board?

Yeah, what are the odds ay? 🤣

I don't think I used it in a rig ever (mostly due to the Dallas) but I've had this board for a long while. It's possible that I did at once test it, but I can't remember for sure whether I have tested it or not.

Btw, I kinda suspect the mirrored print was supposed to go on the other side of the PCB? At least that's what I remember from looking at the board.

Whats missing in your collections?

I got this from the Cupertino, CA flea market: an ATI Radeon 9000 (with fan broken) a S3Trio 64 DX (without metal bit) and a MSX joystick. The 2 cards cost me $3.

Recently won this baby on ebay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AGP-3dfx-Voodoo-64- … cvip=true&rt=nc

My first Voodoo5, was listed as faulty/unable to test and it came here in good working condition, seller even copied the original driver disc and shipped it with the card. Absolutely love it and for 36 pounds it was a steal imho.

Aren't 1055T's still more than most computer users need? IMO those are still high-entry level CPUs even for gaming.
6 Thuban Cores at 2.8GHZ.

I'd tend to agree with the Thuban 6x being quite adequate for even modern rigs.
Actually, my Phenom II 3.2GHz (4x core) is still enough for most of my gaming needs. It does max out a bit faster and I doubt it can play most modern "popular" games very well. Not bad for a CPU this old![/quote]

I use an Athlon II X4 640 in my secondary rig (bedroom rig) for pre-2014 gaming and it's perfectly adequate at 1080p for that. It runs all last gen games fine with a decent GPU.

I'm using in my 'main' rig a nice Phenom II X4 940, and when coupled with a decent VGA (like my ex-one, GTX480 - now I'm using a humble HD5570) is still a good cheap solution, regarding my videogaming needs. My dream is to find for a good price one of X6 models, maybe a fantastic 1100t or 1090t.

Last is gunfire.

Sick find, especially seeing that it's working.

Should be the TNT2 Ultra version (only the V770 Ultra's had stock fans on them).

My Trident Blade3D 9880 Turbo arrived today.

I've never seen such a poorly packaged computer component. The fact that it arrived at my house with the only damage being a bent IO shield is a miracle. It was inside a mailer bag, wrapped with that thin foam crap, wrapped inside FUCKING TINFOIL tight around the card.

How many brain cells does it REALLY take to correctly ship an item?.....

so are anti-static bags. electricity cant get into the parts if the bag shorts everything out. I've had people with no computer knowledge ship boards with foil on the back. You have to remove any batteries, and the bags are much more durable, but if you have no bags, foil gets the job done.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

The seller was an e-waste seller. Completely inexcusable for him not to have antistatic bags on hand when selling computer parts. This seems like lazyness to me. If the card doesn't work I'll be opening a case on eBay. When I pay for something, I expect it shipped correctly.

I have the same card, on the sticker it says v770u and that ''u'' stands for ultra so yes, you've scored yourself an ultra. the normal version does not have that U (and indeed do not have a cooler)
