I'll try to test it. Do you know of any examples where it would not work properly?

I have one of those cards and it's great, but yes it will hang the system if you try and use it with Wing Commander. Gateway works A-OK though, which is what I originally got it for.

Intelligent mode MPU-401 and how it's utilised.

Found this MusicQuest card locally for a very good price! It came with the box, but without the cable which I had to buy separately from Ebay, Still came to a very good price (<$50) in total.

I was using the (excellent) clone card I'd bought on AmiBay, but I can finally use a time typical card instead. 😀

Please update us at some point when you test games, I have read in the past that this 2in1 MPU design although great for music production introduces incompatibilities with games.
AFAIK this card is just 2 MPUs glued together with some extra functionality when it comes to channel managing (or something along these lines)

interesting. the midiman card I posted a page or so back has a spare socket, its a later rev card. the spare socket is wired to the outputs, I suspect it was made as a 2x2 but never released that way, I should disassemble the firmware, since its an 8051 and see if its made for 2x2 or just 1x1..

This one had a GeForce 7300, had coffee spilled on it and the video connectors were torn off the Mobo. Plus the caseing was shot to hell. I upgraded it to 7 and a 120gb back in 2012 and it ran as a daily until the other night. It saw a long hard service life and I'm happy the CPU is going to keep chugging along.

Ouch. Dedicated GPU and all. But I agree, that thing was shot 🤣 even the rarest stuff is garbage beyond some point.

If it wasn't for that dang screen connector. Basically a hinge completely shattered and they kept using it for a year 😊

Doesn't look like a modem to me. It's a dual-IDE, serial and parallel controller.

See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.

It's a Dual Channel IDE VLB-Controller with BIOS.

its VLB for the IDE. the parallel/serial is still on the ISA bus.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

i cant belive what i have found today but i found one
and to be honest i was looking for this for months and months and some people actually said i was crazy, that here in my country it was impossible to get one.

but i found one, i actually found a voodoo 5 5500,
THE CARD IS MISSING A 470UF 6V CAPACITOR, like if it was pulled out of the pcb by force.....but the damn card works without the capacitor!!!!

anyway it is good to have it on my collection, im not planning on using it. Because with all my 3dfx cards im planning on doing 1 big Frame like picture with glass and hang it on the wall. the voodoo banshee + voodoo2 + voodoo 3 + voodoo 4 and voodoo 5. I was never able to find and buy a voodoo1 tho.

Congrats... Anyone finding a V5 when wanting one, is a lucky person. They are hard to find at a decent price now.
Yeahh... All you need to source now, is a V1 and a Voodoo-Rush.

Sweet... And congrats. People say there are no real difference in sound quality between the Gold
and the Value/Standard. I beg to differ. I can clearly hear the difference when using gold plated
phono cables and a good amplifier. Yet on lower grade equipment, they sound the same.

Retail box AMD K6-2 400MHz. I've never seen one of these before. Box is slightly crushed but still sealed with shrinkwrap. About $20 shipped from shopgoodwill.

Recently i bought two of these gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD7 (extreme rare to find)

2cfdw7t.jpg

One i found on ebay and has the Liquid cooled adapter on de NB.. And do missing the other stuff (i guess it would have the I.o shield included but iam not sure)

Second one i found local.. Missing the Liquid cooled adapter and comes with the Air cooled adapter NB unit.. But have i.o shield included.. Missing the blue cpu retention bracket, but found the original one on ebay..
The local board also came with an AMD phenom II x6 1090T processor. And a Coolermaster V8 cpu cooler.

Also got an Asus P5a Rev 1.06 socket 7 motherboard

That II X6 is still a relatively powerful CPU. Throw a modern GPU in there and some good ram and you've got a budget to mid-range gaming rig.

Me neither - in fact I've never even seen a photo of a boxed K6 until now.
I wonder how many people bought these in retail kits. Seems like they were almost always sold as bare CPUs.
