Latest Ebay purchase.. been looking for one of these for AT LEAST 10 years... finally, my search triggers went off this morning, haha. I've had wanted ads posted in the past, and I've only ever seen two others posted for sale before, more than I was willing to pay. Now I just need the IWILL ZMAXd2..

IWILL ZMAXdp (dual AMD Opteron Shuttle-size pc)

and it comes in the original box, with an Opteron 250, 2GB Corsair RAM, and an ATI 3650 AGP as a bonus.. for the steal of $50+20 shipping.

You stole that machine at $50. It popped up on my searches too, but I'm broke.

If you ever want to let it go, let me know and we'll come to an agreement.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Here is some of my pickups.
I recently got into this hobby and have acquired some nice cards in boxes. Most of them are complete, but some are missing stuff. Like the V8200 is missing the manual.

[...]

Next goals would be Geforce 256 in box and Geforce 2 in box from ASUS. I have them loose but I really appreciate looking at the boxes.
Have a nice day

All but the first Octek Fox M works fine (even HDDs). But this motherboard is not beyond repair - boots but reports CMOS error...

And that EISA like S3 VGA works in that OPTi Local bus motherboard? So it is an OPTi Local Bus card? Can you please upload a bigger photo of this card?

Yes, the S3 card is Opti Local Bus.

I am happy to learn of this as I have the same card.... only, I never tested in EISA slot because I worried of this very thing. Glad I did not test or use.

From here in the days when there was an ebay thread: - EISA Graphics / Video Cards

Found a place selling a couple of Quadro 4 900XGL cards (AGP 4x Geforce 4 Ti 4600 equivalent) for cheap so I bought them. Just waiting for them to arrive so I can test.

Twins.
Baby ATX , Super Socket 7's
FIC VA-503+’s with AMD K6 CPU’s.

These should work great for over locking an AMD k5-3+-450mhz to 550mhz.

Maybe even try for 600Mhz or a bit higher. For the 6x multipler, set the jumpers to 2x.

I think those boards should also have a few settings that are above 100Mhz fsb if I remember correctly.

I just started looking at my TRS-80 model II yesterday, and the serial number reads 32000006.
After doing some research, I have reason to believe that the actual serial is the last 6 digits of the full number. If this is true, this means my machine was number 6 off the production line!
All the chips are dated in mid-early 1979, which corresponds with the starting production dates! I can't find a production date on the chassis, but after looking at every chip I can find, they are all dated before October 1979. If anyone knows where I could confirm this, I would be thrilled!

If you have no luck here, try vcfed.org. There are the 8bit maniacs.

So, time for my small pickups list:

Gigabyte GV-9000PRO II (ATi Radeon 9000 Pro)
Olq4IR0m.jpg
Looks pretty cool for Radeon 9000 to be honest. 🤣

ATi Radeon 7200 All-In-Wonder
D64pAymm.jpg

Matrox Mystique (MYST/4L)
hEqMogHm.jpg
Another Mystique in my collection, and sadly, it's not 220. But there's 4mb already on board, so...

Aureal Vortex AU8810 (SoundCOM)
eYube9Mm.jpg
Well, who knew that AU8810 was somewhat harder to find that AU8820 or 30? Or maybe i was just lazy... 🤣

Creative Sound Blaster Live! Platinum CT4760
205jQFem.jpg
Interesting how it's differs from other Live! cards. Except that gold-ish jacks...

And now - for something special. Or weird. Probably both fits.
QDI MP4-P4U885P3
LYGsOWbm.jpg
Well, for mobo itself - there's nothing weird. Rare? Yes, since there's Socket 3 + PCI. And they now quite expensive nowadays.
Weird thing is - story how i saved this mobo. From quite shocking condition.
Long story short - my gf called me, and said that somebody placed "sort of 90s computer" near her house. I decided to check it out, and... things started to get wacky.
When i opened computer case (which was in very bad shape), i saw this...
NlQzRyqm.jpg
It was infested with.. wasps. That's right, you can actually see parts of hive, and there was 6 dead wasps. That is kind of thing i probably will never forget in my life... 🤣
Anyway, i decided to take out mobo to see is it worth to save or not. Later i cleaned hell out of that mobo, and tested it if it's alive or not...
And it definitely is.
PVriLKQm.jpg
Conclusion of this story - never judge by the look.
Thinking about making powerful 486 PC. Any suggestions about graphics card? Don't wanna install Voodoo though, my Voodoo Graphics doing it's job in my MMX PC, and Voodoo 2 will be too much for it. 🤣

My retro PCs:
ZIDA 5STX, PMMX-166, S3 ViRGE/DX, 3Dfx Voodoo 1, Creative CT4830
AOpen AX-34U, P3-1133, GF 3 Ti200, Aureal Vortex 2
Allround 815EPT, P3-800, ASUS V7700TIvx/32M, Creative SB0220 (my first PC from 2001)
ASUS P3B-F for tests
IBM ThinkPad R31

Looks like you're going to dive in a project.

I once collected three of these beasts with expansion units. I also remember eventually shipping at least one to Australia. Nowadays I can not find these anymore in my country.

Nice finds. It seems that everyone is going after the Mystique 220, which is quite uncommon. I could sell mine all day long for a low price if I wanted to.
