I've ordered one of these FJGEAR FJ-K08 KVM switches. Not sure what to expect, will report when it arrives. Had to order cables separate. Hopefully this thing will safe me from unplugging/plugging things reducing wear and tear on devices etc.

Oh, don't be deceived by the photo. The photo shows two of them stacked on top of one another, the top one showing the front and the bottom one showing the back.

Okay, since holidays are coming, it's time to do one of the final sitreps about hardware pickups.
Today mostly will be mobos and couple of videocards.
ASUS P/I-P55TVP4
1ic15oHm.jpg
Earliest ASUS mobo in my collection.
ZIDA 5DHX
5a7AEl5m.jpg
430HX motherboards are not quite common these days.
Intel Advanced/ML (MARL)
Uloq56lm.jpg
Not gonna lie, this is fantastic pickup for me, since it's great addition in my Intel mobos collection, and also - it's first Socket 7 ATX motherboard in my collection.
Acorp 5ALI61
JsstDTom.jpg
Recently i decided to find some good Super Socket 7 motherboards. I think i'm having a good start. 🤣
SuperGrace SG-MVP3A5
URpavQvm.jpg
Also known under PCPartner brand. Very cute and small motherboard. Also i can install here Voodoo 2 in SLI without any tools. 😊
Gigabyte GA-6BXC
67hqX9Ym.jpg
SOYO SY-6BA+
5hM6PV4m.jpg
SuperMicro P6SLE
doZ4tYLm.jpg
Looks like standard 440LX mobo, but - there's AMI WinBIOS on board (that was common in 486 times). Quite an interesting solution. 😀
Intel SE440BX-2
HpWSvQVm.jpg
Another addition in my Intel mobos collection. 😀
Elitegroup P6BXT-A+
UdJ566Vm.jpg
Now it's time for something interesting. Mobo with built-in slotket, where you can install Socket 370 processor, OR (not both) Slot-1.
AOpen AX-34U
6TpWa2im.jpg
Not gonna lie, this is probably one of the best S370 mobos that i have. I mean - there's native Tualatin support (VIA Apollo Pro 133T chipset) + ISA slot for AWE32/64 pleasure. And i love that black PCB...
Acorp 6VIA85P
kZyMUixm.jpg

And some videocards:
Intel 740 (MSI MS4424)
kifk5Z5m.jpg
S3 Savage3D (PowerColor CGX3SD)
pzaN2gam.jpg
S3 Savage4 LT (Number Nine SR9)
tgvqC6Ym.jpg

My retro PCs:
ZIDA 5STX, PMMX-166, S3 ViRGE/DX, 3Dfx Voodoo 1, Creative CT4830
AOpen AX-34U, P3-1133, GF 3 Ti200, Aureal Vortex 2
Allround 815EPT, P3-800, ASUS V7700TIvx/32M, Creative SB0220 (my first PC from 2001)
ASUS P3B-F for tests
IBM ThinkPad R31

Bought a Quadro FX 1100 AGP video card (equivalent of a Geforce FX 5800). However when I received it, a quick inspection showed that the fan was not spinning when pushed by finger - it was jammed. Not having great expectations after that I plugged it in anyway and was greeted with this screen:

20191215-115917-BEST.jpg

I guess the fan failed at some point and the card was run without cooling until it died.

I've asked for my money back.

I/O, I/O,
It's off to disk I go,
With a bit and a byte
And a read and a write,
I/O, I/O

Ouch. Sometimes a reflow using the oven or reflow station would suffice.

You might be able to overclock an AMD k63+ 450mhz to 550mhz on the Acorp ALI SS7 mobo.

@Benetton93: That's quite a nice haul. Where did you source all these boards? The Intel MARL and the AOpen S370 are great finds!

Today I just couldn't resist to buy this NOS AT case (sellers photo):

1.jpg
Filename
1.jpg
File size
162.5 KiB
Views
1983 views
File license
Fair use/fair dealing exception

I just sold a complete system with this exact case a few days ago, but it was badly yellowed and I found the build quality to be too cheap to meet my expectations.
Now the build quality of this new one will still be crap, but hey, NOS, including power supply, for 25€ shipped. That's just too good to let it pass.
I'm not quite sure what to do with it yet, but I think it's going to be home to another midrange Super Socket 7 system. Another option would be to use it for an AOpen AP5S Socket 7 board that I've had for like 20 years now and that is patiently sitting in its box, waiting to be brought back to life 😀

Well i'm mostly looking in local marketplaces or local retro hardware forums, but with exact two (along with ECS P6BXT-A+, ASUS P/I-P55TVP4 and Acorp 5ALI61) - my friends helped me with them. 😀

I've thought about it; the problem is it has BGA memory chips on both sides of the card.

(not my pictures but it looks exactly the same)

Oy vey. I had a GeForce 6200 AGP (512MB) EVGA variant that would work for a while until a game was playing, then the system would restart and artifacts would appear, but would go away after leaving the card cooled down all the way and did a visual inspection. The cooling fan was working fine, though. My Ti4400 AGP's fan was stuck, so I got it freed up and it functions. I should oil the bearing again, plus, my Radeon 9600XT's fan was noisy but worked. Cleaned off that fan and oiled the bearing.

It's what I get in 90% of such mystery boxes 🤣 Maybe it's just my luck..

There was the one time I opened up such a box to find a Tomato Celeron system with a Voodoo 3 and AWE64 Gold though, so you never know.

I hope you get whatever awesome hardware you hope it has though.
