It only comes with a burned disc, unknown contents. I should be able to track down the discs or copies, and the game port adapters (or make my own). I'll see if the thing works first.. 🤣

Tempting as well. Is that the card that's Sega Saturn compatible?

Well if you find them, and find out a wayt to make your own game port adapter, let me know, because I'm looking for all of this since mid 2017 x)

The game port looks pretty easy to make. The ports themselves can be purchased for under $15 by scavenging from Sega Saturn -> USB adapters. The rest is just cheap penny parts from mouser. I am still looking for clear high resolution top and bottom views of the adapter so I can duplicate the PCB in Kicad. 5 PCB's are only $2 to have printed.

A bit more modern than my usual goodies, but something I'm quite looking forward to.

Two reference ATI HD 3870s, and two custom PCB Gigabyte ATI HD 4870s.

Intel Bonetrail DX38BT Motherboard + Intel Core2Quad Q9650 + 8GB Corsair XPS DDR3

I actually purchased a DX48BT2 but the seller had already sold that and never removed the listing, so we came to an agreement on price for the DX38BT instead. A bit bummed but that's life.

The GPU & Motherboard have their heatsinks, I just have them removed for cleaning.

Bonus retro software pickups:

Netscape Communicator Deluxe 4.0. Really happy to finally have a boxed Netscape in my possession, but still on the hunt for 3.0!
Borland Delphi 3 Standard
Microsoft Office 2000 Professional Upgrade
Microsoft Office 97 Professional
Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 Professional

All complete with contents. 😀

Second huge free haul to mark year's end: guess I'll spend the holidays restoring everything!

The biggest item is, of course, the original Sound Blaster CT1320A

audtjJxm.jpg

This revision seems to still have CMS compatibility chips. There's also some weird modification on the back — a CD audio cable soldered to some pins. I guess, I could just desolder these wires?

Next, some XT stuff:

BF4I1l6m.jpg

a motherboard with a NEC V20 CPU

jBz3uFZm.jpg

a multi I/O card with an RTC battery

P92072rm.jpg

RhvAGetm.jpg

an XT/AT mechanical keyboard with a built-in calculator screen. Sadly, in bad shape and some keycaps are missing.

Z0sXHaWm.jpg

an MFM controller card. I have an MFM disk, too.

I've always been kind of hesitant to spend money on XT stuff because I don't see an appeal in early games. Well, now I have everything to build a really capable machine, so I guess I have to do it. I also have an EGA monitor and videocard, so it could be an interesting experience at the very least.

Next, some 386 and 486 motherboards with AMD 386DX40 and AMD DX4-100 respectively:

HcV286Bm.jpg

Next, some S3 cards, both a bit unusual, a Vision 968 and a Virge:

B2jXpnYm.jpg

Next, a Cyrix GXM motherboard — sadly, I don't have a chip to use with it.

4eKCdHLm.jpg

Next, some Slot 1 motherboards:

WXAFDLTm.jpg

H3yEbv7m.jpg

Next, an Intel SAI2 dual Socket 370 mobo:

Xk8UXa8m.jpg

Next, an EPOX EP-8K5A2 mobo with Socket A:

XRPTXV9m.jpg

Next, some MPEG decoder cards for ISA and PCI. Sadly, these don't seem to offer anything interesting in regards to games:

2VNX8wjm.jpg

There's also a whole box of CPUs (486DX2, DX4, K5, Pentiums, Pentium 2, Celeron 300A and lots of S370 chips) and a bunch of SIMM RAM, but nothing particularly interesting there.

Mystery box came today... packaged like this.

Pentium 133MHz Socket 7, COAST module, 2x16MB SIMM RAM, an ATI mach64 PCI video card, an ISA modem, a 2.1GB Western Digital HD, floppy drive, 12X CD-ROM, 250W AT PSU. And... a Creative Sound Blaster 32 CT3600 (no RAM in the SIMMs though).

Works but has a dead Dallas RTC battery

That's a nice haul overall, congrats!
