Happy to see that board went to a fellow Vogon-er. I also considered a bid but decided I have enough projects for now 😀

I hope you can fix the memory slot(s). Maybe a transplant from bank 1? The seller told me the ISA slot accepts cards (they still fit in the slot), but it does look bent a lot.

Succes!

Speaking of things which should go to a fellow Vogon - there's a dead ITB 386 on MP at the moment. Bad pics of course, but at the very least it has a leaking battery. Apart from that it's a nice AT case, unremarkable 16b ISA multi-IO and what looks like a Trident ISA card. But one thing that is clear in the pic: a shiny MR-BIOS sticker.

I'm out of spare cash and time for at least the next week, but that thing needs picking up by someone who can rescue that BIOS. And it would just be a 20min drive for you 😉

Yeah I was on it already 😜 No success yet though...

EDIT: got a message, already sold for a lot more than I would be willing to pay.

Almost worth asking the seller to get in touch with buyer to ask if he (or we) could take a dump of that BIOS ROM.

Got a 400 MHz Pentium II in SECC2 package. A model I didn't have in my collection.

These gaps and assorted PIII's are bothering me. Would like to kick PIIIs out and make this a "PII & friends" display eventually...

I got 6 PCB's. And I have no idea what to use 6 pieces for. Going to give 3 away.

I've seen those on eBay. I might order one and do a video comparison between the two and see how the picture quality compares. Good luck with the project.

Thanks. Yet I did not buy on eBay. I downloaded the gerber files and ordered my PCB's through PCB-Way.
Total cost including shipping was 22 US Dollars for 6 pieces.

Wow. That's a really good price right there. Maybe I should build a PCB for a multi-AV board for certain systems (SNES, Genesis/Mega Drive + Nomad, and PS1/PS2) for composite, s-video, RGB + sync, and audio. You know, that's not a bad idea, however, to prevent systems from causing shaky or flaky pictures, a toggle switch to go between Nintendo, Sega, and Sony systems would be a good idea. Now how cool would that be?

Looks like it to me as well.

Whopping 4MB video RAM on that card and man, does it look really sweet.

One of the best, if not the best, PLA replacements for Commodore 64. Runs colder, 100% compatible.

Also, could we please stop posting ebay links? I think it was mentioned a couple of times now that this is not wanted here. And that's just another example why.

Hehe.... Yup. Still cheaper for me this way. Because I have no rom-burner. Eigter I source a used burner locally for around 500 to 600 Danish kroners (73 to 88 US Dollars) or I buy a new burner from China, US or Australia for at least 964 Danish kroners (140 US Dollars) including shipping and import fee and vatt.

And I only need this one PLA.

Hah I picked up another EV-1800 286, this one from 1985 and it had both floppies in it. Between the two I have, and the spare parts I have, I can construct two complete viable systems. Hell, I even have the rails for them (kind of)

😁

How do I get into the BIOS of one of these?

It's very similar to the other Everex 286 I got (it's this one) https://stason.org/TULARC/pc/motherboards/E/E … -8-EV-1800.html

but this one doesn't seem to have a BIOS I can get into.

Any ideas, or do I need a setup disk? The computer will boot to DOS on the floppy I provide it, and I did change the CMOS battery, but I want to install a hard disk.

I guess you already tried all the usual key combinations, so it might need a floppy.

I had a very nice package arrive today... I wasn't patient enough to let this one sit in quarantine for a few days so I unpacked it in the evening with gloves and washed my hands thoroughly after ^^
very excited to have scored this one :3

I think you need a setup disk. Check out this topic: Suntac 80286 Mainboards and/or this one: SUNTAC 80286 Mainboard help
