Managed to find a NEC MultiSync 2180UX for a very good price. Pros: it's 4:3 (1600x1200), Cons: It's a massive unit! Prefered to have had the beige model but beggars can't be choosers so I have to settle for black...

(The one in the photo isn't mine, but if I was to take a photo of mine it would look, the same...)

Got this Micronics D5CUB (Socket 7, 430HX chipset):

Ep75rnDl.jpg

The board seems pretty nice, and the manual is comprehensive and well-written (no broken english). If I find the pinout for the PS/2 mouse connector it will probably become my main socket 7 board.

found that same HX board, and has the same config, but with a Pentium 133 included with it, the only Baby-AT HX board that i found with a coin battery rather than the Dallas/ODIN batteries.

Very nice. I have a boxed one as well but, sadly, mine is missing the manuals.
Only downside of this particular model is that it has reverse stereo output.

Nice, mine is missing a microphone but got two fat manuals (one for software and one user manual).

Yeah, no CDs for this one, it is from year 1992.

@ blurks You have awesome taste in hardware, you collect excactly what I would choose as well, Creative, 3dfx and ASUS.
I am still building up my ASUS collection and have barely started on the two others.

I have two other ASUS boxed cards incoming, will post them when they arrive.

In the meanwhile I will share some of the hardware I have accumulated over the last couple of month, at least some of the parts worth mention (in my opinion of course)

Some nice stuff in previous posts, congrats guys!

Gravis Ultrasound ACE (Audio Card Enhancer) (Boxed)

My fav GUS is Extreme (I know some folks do have a problem with its ESS part but I am not that purist, guess because I started it all with a mere PC speaker 🤣) May be the nicest thing about Ultrasound ACE is its size - this one does not extend past the ISA slot connector so it might come in handy. (Luckily) no PnP compatible either (but those were AMD things anyway..)

This is a revision 1.1 with correct stereo channels (these are harder and harder to find so it was well worth getting this). Box is in ok/good condition, contents were mint.

Bought this Compaq Portable 386 from 1987. I confirm it is extremely portable (barely weights 10 kg 😀 ). The good thing is that it comes with a ISA extender (2x ISA slots) so I can pimp it with an extra video and sound card.

DFI G586VPA. This is a Socket 5 Pentium motherboard with a VLB slot. This motherboard is unique because most Pentium VLB motherboards using OPTi Python or OPTi Premium chipsets but DFI has used VIA chipset:
North bridge: VIA VT82C535MV
South bridge: VIA VT82C406MV
Data buffer: VIA VT82C531MV (2x)
VLB-PCI bridge: VIA VT82C505

I got these from a local boot sale. This guy had 2 buckets full of GPU's from 00-09 and I decided to take these two for 50 cents each! The first one is 9800 Pro. I kinda regret not getting more, but most were mid to late 00' s stuff which I have plenty already.

Picked up a Terratec DMX 6Fire w/ front panel today for $28.

The same seller also has a Terratec EWS 88MT for $29 if any of you are looking. Ebay seller is: altairman007

He's got a pretty low number of sold/purchased items, but so far there's been good communication, and he tells me that he's selling off some of his studio equipment.

I remember those 9800 PROs costed an arm and a leg back then, never had a chance to get one. I had a 9700 instead which was also quite a performer of its time ..
