Whaaaat? I've never seen something like that before. Very cool.

It's a type of machine mostly sold in Japan, but apparently some got sold outside of it too.In Japan they get called "Office Assistants" (O.A. for short), and often they run specialized operation systems (e.g. Windows CE) and software. Some are pretty massive, while others are really compact.

Got this BFG GeForce 7800 GS OC. Looks like it can do 2D without any issues. 3D has some texture corruption (and it causes the system to BEEP). Anyone have suggestions on a fix? I might try and bake it.

Beeping, texture corruption when using 3D? What PSU are you using? Had something similar years ago. PSU was not powerful enough. I also try to have my gfx cards on their own wire.

Picked up 2 motherboards today:

MSI K7N420 Pro, Nforce 420 chipset. Wasn't looking for any S462 boards, but I really wanted one with a 1'st gen Nforce chipset. Underneath is an Athlon xp 2000+ Palomino. The previous owner aimed for the very best of early 2000's it seems.

The second board is one of the most Asrock things out there - Asrock 939dual-vsta with AGP, PCI-E support and even an expansion slot for a CPU board

Thanks!! Yeah, I've not seen it boxed (only bare cards) so I grabbed it instantly when I saw it. Box is a bit crushed though.

Awesome, looks to be in great condition, hope you also got the charger for it. I have two of these, one of which has had a battery leak, so do check inside if you can. The Note Jet was an interesting product back in the day, my father used one for work, he seemed to enjoy it more than other laptops as it was quite handy when he was on the road. Some years later I had to carry around a portable printer and laptop for work, and began to realise how much less hassle it would have been to have an integrated printer.

Also, top score on that Mars card!

I got original charger too. After connect only charging led start blink and thats all, power button do nothing. Baterry looks ok but will be KO like 99%.

Asus P5PE-VM... you can't have enough Core2 AGP boards, right? 🤣
p5pe-vmgjur7.jpg

Asus A7V333 - also can't hurt to have spare KT333 MB for Voodoo machines

eBay is your friend 😉 Seriously I guess I was a bit lucky with that i740. Found it when browsing for other things when it just got listed. The seller did not have much other techy stuff (more like dinnerware items and like) so it even was reasonable priced (at least when compared to used, bare cards on eBay).

Very interesting. Wife grew up in Vermont and we lived there off and on for awhile. Never heard of them. Guess you could call them Green Mountain Graphics. After looking them up it appears they won a court case against Autodesk who has a major office in New Hampshire. Very cool stuff you found.

Never knew they made a motherboard with a Voodoo3 on-board. News to me.
