I remember my roommate bought a 21" Samsung monitor like that when new. I can't recall if it was the 214T, but it was very similar. I think he paid something like $1200 for it. I had just bought a 191T for about $800, and thinking he was insane. Not sure about the 214T, but the 191T was pretty solid (even if it didn't have the best colours). It's been in service for 15 years, and still has zero issues, and no dead pixels.

Feeling relieved in getting my second boxed LAPC copy. This puts me down with 3 LAPC cards (one of which is a bare). Might let the bare card go in future..

The "original" Audigy (sealed). I keep seeing Audigy 2 ZS all the time and got some sealed copies myself as well but not so much so with an original Audigy. Sure the Rev. 2 is a way better card clearly in every way but just lacking some passion in my book 🤣

Gainward then..I just have warm feelings towards this company, don't know why - just somehow they seem cool 😎 So getting their Golden Sample 6800GT in a sealed form makes me feel good. I guess there was also even higher clocked edition, the "Goes Like Hell" or GLH but too bad this is not that one.

Ah, yeah. - I've known about the company for at least 30 years.
That's not what I was talking about.

No... these two where just normally picked up from eBay... even more I had them in my "wached" for some time already and now decided to buy them...
For box spacewalk (Shuttle) I offered 85eur - so it wasn't the highest price IMO

A Wang Alliance 750CD desktop computer.
I think it should have a 386-sx25 CPU in it from what I could find.. but who knows what upgrades have been done.. could have a clip-on 486 upgrade for all I know.
Onboard video is WDC Paradise.

Seller's pics.

The one card is either a Sound Blaster 2.0 or a Sound Blaster Pro 2.

Anybody recognize the card with the single 1/8" jack? I seem to remember seeing a card like that before but can't remember what it was and had no luck searching.
I guess it could even be a simple CD-ROM controller card with an 1/8" output jack for CD audio.

Are you gonna try to get rid of that rust?

HAHA

Yeah, I'll clean it up. That is just a bit of surface rust.

My mom used Wang computers back in the late 1980's when she did documents at an insurance company with the monitors that had it where you can change the color of the text (monochrome screens). Wish I can find an IBM PC AT 5170 with a Type 3 board, additional 128KB RAM and 2MB RAM for 2.625MB RAM total, 1.44MB FDD, 1.2MB FDD, and XT-IDE controller for using a CF card, but those systems ain't cheap.

I'm guessing that a lot of sellers are blocking the sale of their stuff to other countries. In that case, those items will not even show up on your county's eBay page.

I search for stuff all the time and neither of those ever popped up on the USA page.

I'm guessing some "immature" nerds came up with the name. 🤣

All the techs I worked with back in the 90s, including myself, got bored and came up with names for every brand. Packard Hell or Smell because they were the trash brand back then, Crashpaq or Tampaq depending on who you asked, eMascreams because they were considered a crap brand back then as well and the list goes on. Working in a 1990s PC repair shop was an interesting time as I am sure some of you experienced. We should have a thread just on PC repair shop stories. I have so many weird ass things happen when I worked at one.
