MS-6168 Motherboard with Integrated 3DFX Voodoo3 2000 8MB chip. Came with P3-450 and memory.

Very cool, I have a few of them - great boards indeed. 😀
Wonder if the 16MB version will show up here some day.

I got me some more old stuff:

X1950XTX GDDR4 512MB:
ati_radeon_x1950.jpg

And also a 7800GT with an Arctic Silencer 6 (shame, I very much prefer the original coolers, just for the looks alone) and a Diamond Nvidia Riva 128 4MB PCI.
I even grabbed a 4790K / 16GB testbench to have some fun with those GPU's. X1950XTX does a pretty darn good job in Serious Sam 2 1600x900 maxed, the 7800GT is already struggling, maybe due to VRAM. Tried GTA IV on lowest settings on the XTX but nope, not playable at all.

Between all of the stuff I got lately there was a pretty neat 100Mbit DEC DE500 PCI Ethernet card, doesn't seem to work under Windows 7 anymore, no drivers 😊

I don't suppose you had an EPROM programmer and would be willing to dump the XL rom? Mine is missing and I can't find someone who will do it.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

you, my friend must be incredibly gifted at ebay searching because i have several dozen searches and couldn't find any trace of a new old stock LAPC1 sold, unsold, or otherwise! good job!

(i did find the voodoo 3.. WOW, that's 1070 money! 😉

eBay is your friend 😉 Seriously I guess I was a bit lucky with that i740. Found it when browsing for other things when it just got listed. The seller did not have much other techy stuff (more like dinnerware items and like) so it even was reasonable priced (at least when compared to used, bare cards on eBay).

Nice one! That's a really good looking box, love the art. I've got a Diamond SpeedStar (ET4000AX ISA) on order too, mine's not boxed and complete though. I'll post up when it gets here.

^^ If Vegge can't do it, I can, assuming the ROM is the same. HMU.

Bought this interesting 386 board today. Would appreciate if someone tells me what it is and where I can find any info about it. The good: made in USA, no battery, low integration!:

^ seems like an early 20mhz 386DX motherboard that sadly also lacks a BIOS...

I really like this early 386 stuff. Much more interesting IMO than those 40mhz all-in-one boards with soldered CPU.

I believe BIOS can be easly replaced with some AMI 386 generic BIOS. We'll see. I don't know if it even works.

You are not alone, I've yet to figure out how to use eBay automatic searches/alerts effectively - for me they seem always lag behind. Story behind that LAPC-I is a bit funny. It was a bidding listing and I actually lost it to a winning bidder by couple of dollars (only!) Guess the winner was not prepared to pay his/her maximum as the day after I got a "second chance" offer from the seller to buy the card for the initial price I offered (or then there was some shill bidding involved, who knows..) As boxed LAPC-I rarely shows up I did not think twice. Of course one needs to pay silly amounts these days for a boxed variant of this card so it hardly is a good deal (therefore I don't want to link to this particular listing but it easily shows up under sold listings in eBay history if you're interested. This one was from the UK eBay so guess one needs to search up there). LAPC-I was boxed (but used), MCB-1 was NOS (different sellers). Remember some sellers seem mistakenly call it LAPC-1 (with figure 1) so I always just look for "LAPC". Bare cards seem to show up more often (I've seen 2-3 this year alone).

Just keep looking, I am sure you will find yours sooner or later - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you 😀

Is this the one that sold for £1350 recently?

Purchased a Hard Drive enclosure that uses either a 2.5" or 3.5" HDD and it installs in a 5.25" bay (going to install in my K6-2/300 machine for DOS). I installed my Seagate 428.1MB HDD in it, had no keys for the enclosure, but the keys for my Ultra ATX case works with it since it's universal. The enclosure has 2 fans installed (intake and extake) for keeping the HDD cool without overheating.

Here are a few of my 386 SX, picked up last week.

And a P3 700 Mhz Tower that was thrown in. Apparently the PSU was faulty in this unit containing a SCSI Yamaha CD Drive. Another one is on order.

It's massive. When I stand next to it, I only come up to the Creative Drive.
