Is that Hercules/MDA, CGA/EGA or VGA compatible?

@OldCat - I think it's VGA Compatibile.

Hee. Luckily it's not a PC Chips board.

This board is 386/486 combo with ALI chipset, which caught my interest. Just need to add sockets for CPU/FPU and jumpers. BIOS also support writeback cache.
Althought I bought this set for somewhat rare Chips F64300 card and fancy IWILL I/O.

I had one in my dx2-66 in the mid-90's. They are totally awesomme cards.
Nowere to be found on eBay or Amibay.

At least I still have the the original manual, just in case I should reaquire the card.
Uploaded the manual to Vogons drivers, if you are missing a copy.

Why people throw out the brackets is honestly the biggest mystery to me in this whole hobby. Is it to save space when storing this cards? Do people use them to cover empty slots in PCs? Why do you need to remove the brackets?

Indeed good question. I assume people think they increase the value or they can give a more accurate weight when already removing the "non-gold" parts from such scrap piles?

Or they sell the metal separately? But this gives only few cents and make lots of work...

Should tell the seller that this sound card would have been worth around 150€ when sold separately with bracket...

I'd rather get a card like that (I recently got a boxed Tropez Plus) for super cheap in a pile of cards like that then spend a large amount for a single card.

In fact, I have gotten quite a few of my more rare/expensive cards like that.
I did see that listing but apparently didn't look close enough to see that that card was in there.

Bought this card for 20 US Dollars, excluding shipping.
I just love S3-VLB cards, and prefer them over Cirrus Logic, when it comes to VLB.

That's SiDEjr Plus though (1 IDE port), not sure if mentioned manual will help. But apparently SIDEjr Pro has second IDE channel routed directly to the 16-bit ISA bus, so I am not losing anything useful here.

286 motherboard with 640kb of ram, the reason I bought this board because it has a harris 286-25 CPU and I won the auction for a far price, one of those impulsive purchases in case I ever build a high end 286, unfortunately no simm memory but on to another related purchase.

Hypertec ISA memory card with a WHOPPING 8meg or RAM!
I would dread to think how much this card was worth back in 1988 🤣!

Arima HDAMA, only reason I bought this board is because of my obsession for PCI cards and the curiosity of PCI-X slots, this boards supports up to 133mhz, Ive got a few cards to test, interestingly no onboard sound a proper server system, the other idea was a Pentium server board but I like to do things a bit differently so went with AMD.
The price was only around $43(AUD) shipped from germany, electromyne to be exact they have listings on ebay and their website.

Opteron 254 - socket 940, this was only $10 shipped back in the day was released at $854USD! OUCH!, Just love the idea of playing around with stupid expensive hardware thats dirt cheap now!

I suppose theirs better options for the motherboard for outright speed but Im testing games around early 2000, pretty sure dual care wasn't a thing until the late 00s

Your images do not work. Do you have drivers/documentation for the memory card? I also have 2 of these and almost given up to get these running without any data...

The good part, is that I can finally rebuild my dx4-120, into a VLB system with SCSI-Vlb and VGA-Vlb. Right now, it has an S3-Trio64v+-PCI and is using onboard IDE.

Some of these were in the post for a while - while looking for a decently priced K6-III for my Lucky Star MVP3 motherboard, I found an Asus P5A-B along with one - there was so much thermal paste on the CPU 😀 Notice the thermal paste on the DIMM slots?

It was advertised as 525MHz, but the CPU is actually a 450, so maybe I know how well it overclocks now, I haven't had a chance to power it up yet, I wish I could find an AT case:

I'm wondering which of the two boards would be better to keep? The via boards are apparently better at throttling

Then I found some cheap AWE64 cards while I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my AWE64 gold that refuses to see its onboard memory or expansions:

And finally, a cheap HP OEM Geforce 2 GTS 32MB:

I got an Asus V8200T2 Deluxe graphics card for a very good price so I was finally able to complete my empty box.

Don't recommend Photobucket in this day and age, you should really look into other services.

It's desirable to patch the BIOS with the latest Sil3114 BIOS module. There are premade images available if you're interested.

I think it is best to upload images here, so they are permanently available.

Wow. 286-25. Is that the fastest 286 out there or did they make even higher clock rate versions?

Harris and Intersil both produced 286 at 20 and 25 MHz. Nobody else produced them faster than 16 MHz

I can grab this laptop for a not too high sum (around 35 bucks) it appears to be fully functional but lacks an adapter. I tried to get the full model number but the seller could not provide it aside from being Model 2635. It appears to have 32MB of RAM which is also not very helpful. Here are some photos of the item:

I know this is supposed to be a great DOS gaming laptop but can anyone identify it as either passive or active matrix? Is it still worth buying if it's passive matrix?
