Amazing you have all those in the box, and they look in mint condition. You're either very lucky or spent quite a bit on ebay!

In my defense, I could not see that under the sticker.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Both I guess... The Voodoo2 is actually my own card which I got as a gift in 1998. The TNT1 and the Banshee were admittedly pretty expensive. The others I got for very reasonable prices. The Savage 4 for example I picked up in my neighborhood for next to nothing.

The Yamaha ATC-6631 card came in yesterday (was too busy to post it on that day so I'm posting about it now). I thought it was a YMF715B-S as stated on an old post here, but it turned out to be a YMF719-S which is also part of the OPL3-SAx family. Not bad for the price I paid for it.

Now I can listen to the wonders of true OPL3 music.

Just make sure you put a bit bucket underneath the break to catch any lost data.

picked up an older PC today, but it came with this in the spare parts bin:

Genuine IBM EGA card with feature adapter AND memory expansion board.. i don't think i have EVER seen one of these in the wild before. How rare are these? I wonder if its worth anything (although I'm 99% going to use it in my 5170)

I have no clue what I'm doing! If you want to watch me fumble through all my retro projects, you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/user/MrDavejustdave

well, they aren't rare. But not terribly common. The memory upgrade is actually more valuable than the card itself sometimes.

What REALLY fluffy my feathers, is that small card at the lower right. That doesn't look like it was IBM authorized...

What tipped you off? The blue lead?

Definitely not common.. i've been looking for one off and on and while there are plenty of clone adapters, i haven't seen an IBM one pop up.

could I trouble you for a good close picture of both sides of that little card? I am so intrigued by it. I LOVE to see hardware mods on old computers.

8 resistors, a flip-flop and a nand buffer? wow, i'm... underwhelmed. I mean it would be easy to recreate that card now, but I'm all kinds of curious as to what it does. Do you mind if I post your images over on http://www.vcfed.org? The community there is a bit more tailored to this era of hardware.

Also, thank you for taking the time to take those pics!
