It would be cheaper and easier to hire a hitman and just steal everything.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Artex has his treasury in an underground basement. That would be a tough mission! 😁

Or to send it back in time.. to kill Artex before he buys the Voodoo 5s!

Thinking about making a Pi1541 by purchasing parts (PCB board, wires, resistors, LEDs, pin headers, both male and female, another logic board, 2 IEC ports, and 5 buttons) from Digikey and eBay. Almost bought some hardware, but financial issues are occurring again. 🙁

Grabbed a Voodoo 1 and a K5-PR133 for $20 total, not sure if it was a good deal or not.. Will post photos when they arrive.

Artex has already thought about this. He already has an army of T-1000s guarding his treasure.

The basement is also made of Mithril.

Ahhh... You did take notice of that device as well? 😀
Heard rumours, that it will run on a Zero in the future.

Finally got my iBook G4 14" replacement battery today, since the one that's already in my system just refuses to charge properly no matter what.

It arrived flat, though, so it didn't start charging easily. Had to resort to a PMU reset (Shift-Ctrl-Opt-Power) before it would take, but sure enough, several hours later, it topped off and seems to be holding its charge after the fact!

If that Voodoo1 works, that alone means you made out like a bandit given the crazy prices on everything 3dfx nowadays!

Loving this thread...😀 Congrats on the epic haul hard1k! Some seriously nice stuff in there... You know I'm a 3DFX mega-fan, as well as a fan of anything Roland - especially the boxed stuff like those MT-32s and CM-500. A little Matrox m3D action is always good for the early 3d accelerator underdogs that were NEC PowerVR. Also great to see some Turtle Beach love in the mix. I would say it's a well-rounded and generally awesome pickup!

Gotta be clever... and lucky. Yesterday, for example, I found a BIN style auction for an Ensoniq SoundScape Elite for... 49 EURO. It was in Spain, so I had a to use a forwarding service to get it here, but still... quite random and again - lucky - to find such a rare piece for that cheap.

The circle of serious collectors is somewhat smallish, so you just gotta work the communication and keep the collectors close and eventually you will come up with some great items. It's maddening sometimes, but patience is key - as well as $$$ as sad as that is to say these days. This hobby isn't getting any cheaper I'm afraid.
