Good old Radeon 7000. Old reliable.

Yeah its the angle the pic is taken. The floppies run to the edge connector on the back of the right most card.
the AST sixpack cable is going to a port mounted in the slot between them.

Yeah its a shame, this is the cleanest by far out of the 5 or 6 5150s that i have. Most of my other ones don't work either.

I'm going to have to have a 5150 repair party where i pull them all out, repair what I could, mix and match what works, and emerge with as many running machines as possible. They're becoming harder to find in this condition.

🤣, did you even look at the picture to see what I mean? I own a 5150 myself and know what floppy drives are. The cable however goes to the floppy controller card and then from there further to the left to that AST card. That doesn't look correct to me. I'm not sure if it is just an optical illusion due to the perspective of the picture, though.

Definitely optical illusion. Pin 1 is red on one cable, blue on the other.

Where on earth did you find that? What kind of drivers do you need for that and how does it work for "normal" usage?

That's after cleaning, it was in a pretty dire looking state with the front case hanging off (almost all the screw mounts snapped off) and tons of dirt. The cracks in the paint have bubbled so I can assume that's rust. The floppy drive and CD drive (a Mitsumi Quad speed) are both broken, but the PC itself works 😀
So now I have something like the Cyrix 5x86 100GP that our family PC had during 95-98, with a SiS ISA/PCI motherboard.
I think I'll have to decide which of my two non-standard case 486 PCs I'd like to keep, this one or the Packard Bell 450? (I already like this one better, it has cache!)

Meanwhile on my end, this came in the post today:

I'm hoping I can get this working in my Shuttle SK41G; the BIOS supports Thoroughbreds and has some under/overclocking options, but this is a 1.25V chip and I don't know if it'll be able to handle that automatically. It doesn't seem to allow setting the voltage manually at all. Might have to see if there's a hidden menu I can access or even a modded BIOS floating around. A significant reduction in heat in the little XPC will be quite welcome.

I wonder if this was in Europe exclusively? I don't ever remember seeing these back in the day stateside. I think it's a cool find, especially in that condition. I like vintage hardware that has a kitsch aspect to it. The 1990s Hot Wheels PC is another good example.

No idea to be honest. Could very well have been Europe exclusively.

There's a seller on ebay from Germany who apparently got hold of quite a bunch of these and selling them for 10 bucks each (182566828398).
