OMFG I used to have one of those! It looks like it's in great shape. I'm jealous.

so I got this rather nice looking gameport-midi cable from china today, and while the plugs and cable seem to be really nice quality there seems to be no components inside whatsoever unfortunately, just a plain cable-to-cable connection, does that even work? 😕
You can have problems like described here: Issues connecting a Roland SC-55 to an old 486

Bought this Quadro 900xgl 128mb AGP to upgrade my win98se rig. Hope I can pick the right drivers for it, anyone have experience getting it to play nice with games? Wonder if I can use the Rivaturner program to soft mod it into a GF4 4600 or whatever the equal is.

Find of the day (junkyard)
It's got a metal badge on the back; "Department of Studies and Schoolsystems" -governmental
Anyways, from the pile of ISA cards I found the other day in that dumpster
this one is intriguing me,
can anybody identify it?

128MB of course. 9700 Pro wasn't make as 64MB card, and you can easily find out, how much of VRAM R300 cards have (4 memory chips=64MB, 8 memory chips=128MB, one exception: 9800XT with 256MB within 8 chips as well).

Yeah, figured that out after I searched the PN number 😀

Original clocks @ 275/275(550)... online reviews puts this particular video card @ 300/300(600) overclocked, but i will not be doing the same to find out, it was fun back in the day though, now i just run everything as is, this thing even rivals the GF4 Ti4400 video card.

I love how they packed in all games that would ever support the card. 😜
amazing find Artex, kudos!
Fascinating...
I'm trying to find what it is, but the results are ambiguous...
Is that card based on some rebranded GLINT? Or is it some special chipset, only based on GLINT?

Some good info here! http://vintage3d.org/3dlabs.php#sthash.XPCkGggm.dpbs
OK, so it's a stripped-down GLINT 300SX.
BTW: that page claims it's "the only texture mapper for VL-Bus" - but what about the NVIDIA NV1 ?
NV1 has a texture unit as well - http://www.gpuzoo.com/GPU-NVIDIA/NV1_2_MB_VLB.html
