This isn';t the right topic for diagnostics, but perhaps you could post a thread about your AOpen board? Maybe we can help you 😉

To test this card's CGA compatibility, you need to run a test on it, and it can be found here. This link will take you to a Vogons post written by 5u3. In that post, there's a link to a CGA test utility that you can download, and also a reference video, to show you what the tests should look like, if run it on CGA hardware. I would study the video carefully, using the pause button if necessary.

No offence intended, just posted the description of why I bought them, wasn't asking help. However I may just post a question about it to see if anyone has any ideas.

Awesome! I've always wanted to get one of those. Almost bought one back in the day, but ended up being delayed long enough getting it that I bought a Voodoo3 2000 instead. Man, you get all kinds of awesome stuff!

Iam have planned to build up more systems>

8088-XT-> V20 NEC (iam being busy on this one, need to wait on a new harddisk.. (have bought a digital SCSI 50pin 1050MB drive (i hope it would work, otherwise iam going to split it up in two partitions..

80286 build (i have a case for it, but still waiting on the motherboard. I bought one, but i think it need to get a good soldered.

80386 40Mhz (have enough stuff for it, but only not a good looking case..

Pentium 200mhz MMX system (iam still busy on it..)

AMD K6 II + system, i was thought of building this system, but i think i would be better off with a Pentium II rig with just a 350 - 400mhz processor.(because ATX is just more easier to build) Iam going to use the case what i wanted to use and the TYAN socket 7 motherboard for my Pentium 200 Mhz MMX so i swap those..

$%28KGrHqNHJDkE63Zd!7UnBO7sOe5Y-Q~~60_12.JPG

New in the box an EVEREX I/0 card, with a RTC clock.
Its a still sealed box
Its for my V20 nec computer.

$%28KGrHqVHJC0E7Bcvhtu6BO2OO2j2EQ~~60_12.JPG

Some hard to find memory chips they are almost very rare.

Iam not really happy with that EVEREX card. I hoped it had a RTC, but is doesnt. Because

EVEREX- EV170 has a RTC
EVEREX- EV170A does not..

But the good is it was still new in sealed box, manual sealed, there is a floppy in it also..
Maybe i going it used in my new 80286 system build.. So i dont need a RTC on a 286 computer..

But i still had a ACE in my hand (iam not stupid)

So i give this one a try:

$%28KGrHqV,!hsE2RG,B4q3BNlmD!HnsQ~~_3.JPG

Only need a new battery in i hope.. But i have bought more times from this seller and have a good feeling about this..

just won a couple auctions on ebay. I wont spoil it, i want to see what everyone sees when I post the links:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/270898270469?ssPageNa … 984.m1423.l2649

*giggles with excitement*

I cant wait for it all to get here. And for the record, the V2's in the 2nd link are being sold to a friend for $25. so essentially i got that auction 1/2 price.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Geez! Nice haul! You practically stole that stuff at those prices. Looks like theres a matching pair of Voodoo2's in there too. Great find!

I scavenged some old PCs in the scrap pile at work today, and I not so much bought but acquired (legally) several pieces to beef up my CPU collection.

6693581605_7c8bec83e7_b.jpg

I got:
AMD 80286-12
Intel 386DX-33 IV (Some bent pins)
i486SX-33 (Surface mount on a socket PCB)
i486DX2-66 Write Back Cache
Pentium 100
Pentium 166MMX (Ceramic)
Pentium 200 P54C
Pentium 166MMX (Fiber)
Cyrix 6x86L-PR200+GP (I already had the IBM version of this, but still cool)
IBM 6x86MX PR300
Cyrix MII 366
AMD K6-2 38L3054 (No speed actually marked, but it's an OEM 337MHz, 4.5x75MHz originally made for IBM). Somebody wrote on it, but hoping to find away to clean off the marker.
AMD Duron 850
AMD Athlon 1333 (Thunderbird)
AMD Athlon XP 2100+ (Palomino)
AMD Sempron 2200+ (Thoroughbred)
Pentium 4 1.5 (Socket 423)
Pentium 4 2.0A (Socket 478)
Celeron 2.0
And lastly, an Athlon 64 2800+ S754 (NewCastle)

I also got a Trident 8900D ISA card to stick in my TI486DLC-40 system I rebuilt this week as well.

I've been scavenging chips for weeks, finally asked if I could buy them... My boss thought I was odd for wanting a slew of old chips (and several with lots of Gold Plating), but after telling him I wanted to add them to my collection and didn't want them for metal value, he just gave them to me... though he gave me a hard time over the MII :P

Is that the 2.2 V version of the Cyrix MII-366GP (100 MHz FSB x 2.5)? I acquired one recently so that I do not need to overclock my less common MII-400GP. I'd like to see how far up the Cyrix MII-366GP can be overclocked stabily. If they can run fine at 300 MHz, for example, I wonder why Cyrix didn't just release them at 300 MHz parts (-433GP)? The -366GP also came with the less desirable 2.9V using older technology (larger transistors).

Plan your life wisely, you'll be dead before you know it.

I was complaining about not having enough good ISA VGAs, so I bought this for 10 euros :

I've always wanted to have a Tseng card. This is an et4000/w32 model. I'm waiting for another 3 cards to arrive, one among them being also a tseng et4000. 😀

Any idea about the manufacturer of that card? At the back side there's no clue. Only manufacture date being June 1993.

Not really hardware, but place it under ` games` i really cant do. Because this item is to nice for placing it under ` games`.

Today (few hours ago a received my COMPAQ DOS 3.31 Operating system for my
Hardcore XT NEC V20 build.. The prices where heavy, but i really wanted a legal copy of it.. So now i have got it FULL FACTORY SEALED, EVERYTHING IN THE BOX, got even the booklet and all of the books!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/230726440887

Tonight i can place some orginal pictures.

Iam really happy that i could find 23 years later a full boxed version!!! So the price is it worth..

Now iam still waiting on my new harddrive.. If i have received it. Then i could set up my system.

Nice score, Robin4!

Love the Model M keyboard too, 5u3! I have one myself, I use it on my modern PC because it's so nice to type on. Lack of a Windows key be damned! 😀

Sadly it's just the 2.9v version. I'm still keeping my eyes peeled for other chips, though due to the metal value, my Boss is more reluctant to part with the Cyrix's, plus they're pretty rare now. 😜

And I had one of those same keyboards with my PS/2 55sx (English keys though). I think my Brother might have swiped it though, I'll have to check next time I'm at my parents place(where the rest of my collection's stored). Nice keyboard though, very tactile, durable and responsive.

The Model M's are awesome. I'm using one with my 386. Not much good if you're trying to keep the volume down so as not to wake anybody up though 😀
