I have the Master System I as well, but no box.

What mine does have though, is a dual-BIOS switch, so I can play Hang-On OR Alex Kidd in Miracle World. I showed the mod in one of my videos.

Well....

I have a Playstation2 with the LAN-adaptor. Which basically translates into me, having all my original games on a hard drive inside the console.
Don't have any bootchip in my machine. I have softmodded a memory card, in order to run HD-Loader on this baby.
And as a bonus. I have SNES emulator on it. Not that it's any useful. I just like having maxed the card out, with homebrew software.
I only play those Ps2 games on it, one or two times a year.

Nice!

I received in the mail today a 1.44 floppy drive to replace an old dead one along with 40 new disks for $9. And I received an MSI GeForce 4 ti4200 for my slot A build. $4.75. Not bad.

Dual BIOS you say? I'll check out your vid!

My childhood SMS didn't have a built in game at all (discounting Snail maze) - Hang on was included on a game card. The one pictured above is the closest I've come to finding that model. Hang on is in the ROM, but it still has Snail maze, which of course is a total thrill ride and must have feature 😎

I got two PC's for a couple of euro's. Beige cases, so I got them of course. They came from a smoker who never vacuumed I guess, because they were nasty! They were retrofitted, the mainboards+CPU+mem were new-ish (P4 S478 and an Athlon 2400+. I stripped and cleaned the parts. The S478 board had two clamps for the CPU cooler broken, so it was just sort of hanging there... The board also had some caps that look bad so I guess I'll toss it out.

The two CD-Writers were nice old classics, a Mitsumi from 1998 and a Philips made in 2000.

Video cards were nothing special, both fans rattle like crazy.

Some dirty pics for you 😉

Yeah... Think I spot a K7S41 underneath those "Cakes".
You could probably recap, and use it for testing stuff.

Yes, it's a ASRock K7S41GX. That one seems to work just fine so it goes in the storage 😀.

The S478 is an ASRock P4i65G. I was wrong on the caps and they don't look bulged in proper light today, it actually works and runs windows for a while, but only if I press down the CPU cooler. I'm not too familiar with P4 systems and coolers, is the bracket on the board universal? Here's a picture of the damage, and it is also missing one of the screws that go in the mainboard.

Also, the chipset heatsink get really, really hot, is that normal for an Intel 865G chipset?

The bracket is universal 😀

And I guess a fan blowing on the chipset wont hurt but it should not be needed for stability.

That's good to know, thanks! There are more than enough P4 boards around so I'll keep my eyes open for a replacement.

Just remember that the GX is not able to run 400Fsb.
Only 333mhz. There is a non-GX that can do it. As far as I can remember.
And the factory default caps are really low quality.
I have changed some of them on my K7S41 not long ago.

Two maxtors (129MB and 540 MB) both working without clicks, windows 3.11 installed. Not checked for badblocks yet. Looks like both came from an IBM aptiva.

Diamond Voodoo 2 !

Intel DX2 66 and 8MB FPM (not in the picture)

Only 25 reais , about $8,00 😀

For the first time in a while, a decent find followed me home from the dump...
Pz6RR2I.jpg
You can definitely tell this thing's been in the trash. Original specs:
EpvoRzB.jpg
And, finally, the internals. This is where it starts to get kinda interesting:
ReJoG55.jpg
The big blue card turned out to be a 256MB GeForce FX 5500:
j1CZ2YI.jpg
Also, the hard drive and RAM had been upgraded to 120GB and 384MB, respectively. Yes, everything does work! Right now, it's running Windows XP Home SP1. Dunno what I'll do with this system quite yet...

I enjoy reading those spec stickers on oem type computers. Just thinking "that was all you needed back then", seems way too little now.

I love those compaq cases, the CD holder in the front is what gets me 😊 Iv got a similar AMD system with a bad motherboard that WAS going to be my primary 98se system. Now I think it is going to turn into a low-end dual core web browser.

Greetings from Shinjuku!

There's a little bit of everything mixed in here, but what can you recognize?

Those two large Canon lenses set me back a good $1000. It put me $300 overbudget on "stuff spending"...

What I recognise;

A Sharp X68000 system (I think. At the back). Some nice camera gear atop a synth module, initially I thought it was an MU80 but I'd know those anywhere, looks more like a Roland SecondChoice-88. Think I see a SNES mouse among others - N64 and PS1 I believe but it's a long time since I dabbled in that. Various PlayStation 2 accessories (Including a hard drive?). To the right, that looks a bit like a Panasonic ToughBook by those Famicom cartridges. I see a few more, but I'll leave them to someone else. Otherwise, there are a few I am unsure of or just plain don't know.
