I have some DOS diagnostic programs like CheckIt, Syschk, MSD, comstat, etc, but nothing that does a real-time check of what is currently using what DMA resources (0 - 7)

Is there a program that does this?
Thanks.

Such a program would have to know every piece of DMA-capable hardware in your system. There is no general way of finding out what is connected where except for some default assignments (i.e. floppy).

How about ones that can say they are just being used? The ones mentioned above don't seem to really interrogate the DMA ports. I can have a Sound Blaster at 1 or 3 and they don't seem to notice.

I'm adding multiple sound cards to a system and wanted something to verify my jumpers and settings are correct.

A program can only tell if a DMA port is used by initiating a DMA transfer. This can only be done by addon-card specific routines. There are some games that can autodetect the soundblaster that way...
