Hi
I have this DFI K6XV3 motherboard. At POST, it always halts up at the "Verifying DMI Pool Data..." sequence. Always. Even after clearing the BIOS via jumpers and resetting the PNP configuration in the BIOS. Not even a different power supply helped. I also left it on there for an hour and nothing ever happened.

- no hard drives are plugged in
- taking out the CMOS battery and putting it back in didn't do jack
- AGP or PCI video cards do not help this issue
- There is no hardware but the video card, processor, PSU, old 32MB ram (working, tests okay), and motherboard
- swapping processors (that are technically identical) doesn't help either
- Motherboard manual only lists jumpers for setting FSB and processor speed, voltages, and CMOS clears. I've tried 266MHz to no avail.
- i've never made it past POST, so suggestions for using a bootdisk to update the bios is impossible
