I'm also gonna get a new psu with the -5v rail too for use with the ATX to AT converter, which by the way, just arrived. It's easier to get the "older" type PSUs here, locally in the computer stores, but I've yet to start shopping. I might get it for you if you want but I'm afraid the shipping cost will be a bit high from here. And since Malaysian and British electronics have similar voltage specifications...

I just bought a new 400 watt Coolmax power supply for 40 dollars off ebay, for my Retro Rocket. It has a functional -5v line for my AWE64. It has a 120mm fan, a selectable speed switch, and it looks really cool to. It has a very long and loomed main cable, 6 molex, 2 mini and 2 SATA leads. All the leads are 45cm long.

"Retro Rocket"
Athlon XP-M 2200+ // Epox 8KTA3
Radeon 9800xt // Voodoo2 SLI
Diamond MX300 // SB AWE64 Gold

Thanks very much for the offer Malik 😁 , but I think this ATX PSU has a -5V rail:

I've contacted tech support, and hope to find out for sure whether it does have the -5V rail before buying it. (I can then try it out with the ATX to AT converter.)

prophase_j, good luck with your new PSU! 😀

I really dont remember the manufacturer, but I told you one that certainly has -5V: Levicom. I have it 😀

Btw, Saturn is a really big store where u can find just about anything that has anything to do with technology. From washing machines and MP3 players to laptops. There is one in almost every German city.

Edit: heres a cheaper version:

Edit2: As for the plug - I have never been to UK, so I dont know how your plugs look like, but I am quite sure that you can get an adapter from a nearby radio shack or general electric store. Adapters cost about 5e from US (110V) to EU plug (220V) so it must be the same for UK.

I just received an email from nexustek tech support. Their response is copied-and-pasted below -

"Yes, that is the one they purchase from us. There are no other models"

So, the NEX-PSUS35 PSU is simply a "renamed UK label" for the NX-3500 PSU. 😀

It works! 😁

The quietness of this Nexus NEX-PSUS35 / NX-3500 PSU isn't quite as quiet as they would have you believe, but it's still not bad in that respect.
