A nice case really completes a retro rig.

For my 486 systems I use macase cases. These guys seem like the only "brand" name for the era. Falcon northwest seemed to like these ones.. nice build quality in a time when nobody cared. I've attached some images of the 3 types of macase AT cases in the day. Wish I could find one of these in black though.. that would rule

A quality silent AT power supply is a seperate problem.. I found a reasonably nice enermax AT one but it's nothing compared to the beasts you find on modern systems.

I'm just about to fix up my p3 rig with a nice case.. I think I'm going to have to go lian li pc60 as I think that was the one i drooled over back in the day..

What cases do you guys use for your retro rigs?

I bought an el-cheapo MS-TECH case, modified it a bit, got some lights on and used pincers to cut through the aluminimum HDD holder to make space so that AWE32 can fit in it 😉

Luckily, V5 5500 fitted right in.

P.S. this is an old foto without AWE32 in it (it was ordered, but not yet received)
