On the BIOS POST screen, I see this information -
Award modular (etc)
Asus P2B ACPI bios revision 1009
The BIOS chip on the mobo has an Award sticker on it. When I run the Asus utility called aflash.exe, (which I just used to successfully flash another P2B board), it says:
Flash memory: Unknown
I cannot proceed to flash the BIOS because of this "unknown" flash memory. Back at the C:\ DOS prompt, I run the awdflash.exe utility instead. Inside this utility, it says:
Flash type -
There is no information after the "-" character. Again, I cannot flash the BIOS. Should I scratch away at the award sticker on the BIOS chip, to uncover any code printed on the chip? Would this code be useful to know?
