Just found a PCI Diamond Stealth 64 2001 Series. Is this card any good? I currently have a PCI Diamond Stealth 3d 2000 4MB in my 486. Would it be worth switching?

Probably not. The name "Stealth 64 2001" matches two models, one with the S3 Trio 64V+ chipset, and one with the ARK 2000.

Yeah, it's the S3 Trio 64V+ chipset. Do you think it is worth keeping around for future retro DOS builds? Or should it make it's way to silicone heaven?

Yeah, it's probably worth keeping around... the S3 Trios are pretty nice DOS cards.

But it's definitely not worth swapping it into your current system, you won't gain anything. The S3-Virge used on the Stealth3d is essentially just a Trio64V+ with some rudimentary 3d capabilities added on.

It's almost the same as the Stealth 3D 2000 you currently have installed. So, if you have the storage space, keep it, it might become useful some time.

I found those Trio cards make excellent testing cards 😁

Anyway, I'd keep it. It's not a super duper greatistic awesome card but atleast it's very useful from a retro perspective 😉 (and did I mention they make excellent testing cards? 😉 )

Actually, I have decided to sell all my spare graphics cards in one lot on eBay soon, I need the space. I am going to keep a couple of cards for my 486 build if it ever needs a replacement though. I have stuff that looks like 286/386 era cards all the way up to early AGP cards. I don't think there is anything there really rare or anything but may be of use to retro freaks such as us.

I also have quite a few CPU's which will end up on there in a lot. This will consist of Pentium's, Pentium II's, Pentium III's, Althlons, Athlon XP's and 1 Athlon Semperon. Need to look to be sure what is there though.

Are we allowed to post links to our own eBay sales?
