Its the remains of a 486 no-brand laptop. (see picture) The screen died and the shell was smashed beyond repair (It's had a hard life before it reached me!). Seems a shame to throw it out as its still functional.

I was thinking I'd try and mount the internals in a home-grown case behind a monitor giving me an all in one 486 machine to play with, but I was curious as to whether anyone here had any more interesting ideas?

The machine itself is a 486 DX2 66Mhz with 4Mb RAM and a 1.5Gb hard drive.[/img]

*Sees the pic* dammid, those things were tough 🤣!

What I used to do was remove the laptop harddrive and toss the rest, but I'm in a different situation as I got plenty 486 hardware to play around with.

If it's still working and you're happy with it...I'd say then just be happy with it! 😉

If you're happy running it headless then I say keep it.
