I've just discovered something interesting. I inserted a Diamond Monster Voodoo1 card in to a "slow" slot 1 P2-400 system, running Windows 98 SE, and the video card appeared to show the same problems as mentioned previously in this message thread. The number of times this has occured now seems to indicate that it could be some kind of software problem, rather than a hardware problem. (Surely, I can't be handling so much defective hardware?) So, I removed the Win98 HDD, and replaced it with a Win95 HDD, and that immediately fixed the problem.

If you still have some V1 cards, please try using it/them on Win95...

Always have some V1 cards (after all nobody wants em), but no time to test them (still have to install W98 on dual P2 mobo to test Quantum3D Obsidian2 SLI2 - didnt worked on test PC too.) And im not sure about comparing benchmarks from W95/W98SE/WXP systems.
