When I launch ctmouse, it inits my 3 button mouse in (2 button only) "Microsoft mode". If I configure the mouse in Doom, I cannot use all 3 buttons, only the left and right, not the middle button.
If I attempt to force 3 button mode (/3 parameter) with ctmouse, it ignores this request, and inits in 2 button Microsoft mode. Any ideas please people?
"Microsoft Mode" supports only 2 buttons in DOS environment. You need to force it as Mouse Systems mode (Serial Mouse) or Logitech Mode. You can also try the switch (EDIT : one of CTMOUSE's command line parameters) which forces it to search serial port first before looking at the ps/2 port. (I forgot the switch name.) And also, look at the bottom of the mouse if there's a hard switch alternating between MS (Microsoft) and PC (mouse systems) modes.
Thanks for the info. However, I think I tried all of the ctmouse command line options. I might try a different driver, perhaps a logitech driver...
