I got my 2.5gig seagate compact flash card running with maxblast running a 2gig and 340meg partition, anyway it got me thinking about purchasing an ide bios controller and came across this on ebay.

I ran speedsys and I think the sustained read speed was just over 2mb/s, is it likely a card like that would improve the transfer rates?

Also do these cards need any software? Might be handy to have for full size partitions, running maxblast makes the cd drive E:, i remember have some trouble in the past running games from a different cd drive.
