I recently picked up a 2nd Sound Blaster Pro 1 CT1330A and noticed it was different than my other card which is an older revision.

Here's the two cards:

The card (bottom card) I recently got is a later revision:

This is my older card's revision #:

I wonder what these patch wires are on my older rev card?:

No patch wires on the later rev. card:

And interestingly enough the older rev card has a full set of contact "fingers":

While the never rev. card has less contact fingers like the Sb Pro 2 has:

Was wondering what revisions you guys own and how they look? 😀

I've got revision 3, so my card is the most senior one so far.
It's got the lower patch wire of your rev 4, but not the upper one. It has the same amount of contact fingers as your rev 6 card.
Otherwise, I can't see anything different.

6 revisions? That's quite cool to be honest.

Especially considering the SB Pro 1 wasn't around that long...

My revision 3 has soldered OPL chips (all four), full contact fingers and an extra cap soldered directly to the legs of U25.

6 revisions is quite a few. I'd like to see rev1 if rev4 still has wire workarounds. 🤣 And the loss of the extra slot fingers is surely cost reduction.

I wonder if SBPro 2 was originally just another revision but they decided the changes were big enough to somewhat rename it.

Looks like the extra "fingers" go to traces on the card
