A socket 8 pentium pro 200 system has fallen into my hands, unfortunately I think im going to throw the board away, its an A-trend atc-6000
From what I can tell, the real time clock is soldered to the board and the clock is dead, when the bios posts its says "cmos battery low, press F1 to resume", Usally when that happens the computer continues to boot, this machine goes straight to the bios and im sure it never saves any information, basically I cant get past the post screen.
I tried running the machine with the cmos jumper in the clear setting, does'nt run, is my only option to get a new battery and resolder it for the board to function at all? Its a real shame its a nice looking board in good condition that would have made an interesting machine.
The RTC is labelled as "ST 2886A", so its not your typical dallas chip either.
