I think you need to get approved from the administrator of the website. Somebody already asked before on this topic.
He will probably see your thread 😀

Ask SquallStrife through PM. He is the webmaster for Vogonsdrivers.

There is already a 'manuals' section there.

For those who would like to contribute to VogonsDrivers,

1. Contact SquallStrife via PM. He will provide with the FTP login name and password.

2. Have an FTP client installed, like FileZilla.

3. The steps to upload drivers are explained at the vogonsdrivers website. (Look at the menu on the left.)

4. Contact SquallStrife if you are unsure if the contents can be hosted.

5. Discuss about drivers to upload or on demand-stuff on the Vogonsdrivers sticky thread.

Thanks everyone, I got myself an account from SquallStrife and uploaded PAS installation guide to manuals section and PAS drivers to drivers section.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the rectangles either. They actually weren't deliberately put there, the list items just sorta absorbed the CSS properties of the cell around them, I think. I do want to get rid of them, trust me!

I started working on the CSS for the collapsing menu last week, but I'm currently having some problems at home. Hopefully I can get back on to it in a week or two.

Can I update a file, when it was previously uploaded with the upload form?
Delete and re-upload is an option, but then the link to the file will change.

This has come up before, actually.

To preserve links, the easiest thing would be to upload the new file, and just edit the description of the old one with a pointer to the new one.

So change the description of the old file to read like "This file has been superseded, the replacement is: [link to new file]"

I'll implement a flag of some sort to prevent superseded files from appearing in file listings.

... and then you'll come through and garbage-collect?

These guys will keep polishing and updating their 640MB custom driver install ISO if you let them 😉

Honestly, don't. Just add an icon to the latest/newest driver in the listing but keep the older/outdated ones in it too.

I'd agree if we were talking about actual manufacturer release drivers.

But we're talking about things like vetz's driver collections. There's no need to keep old versions around - for example, he doesn't typically remove things from his driver packs.

Ah, okay. Yeah, don't care much about user created driver-packs.

It's a great way to get all the drivers in one download instead of searching through the web for hours finding an older driver. I've collected from driver discs, games, the web and archive.org.

The driver pack in question are for PowerVR: http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=545

Vetz, you might be interested in this;

I've uploaded the PowerVR tech demos from my Matrox M3D driver-cd and M3D driver version 4.0.3

If you want to add them to your PowerVR driver-pack, go ahead 😀

I added a checkbox to the file editing page to flag a file for deletion. When I get a chance I'll set up a cron task to clean those up once a month or something, but for now I'll do them manually.

I fixed the bounding boxes on the folding category list and made the text a little bigger for both versions. What do we think?

Also I fixed the time/date wrapping within its cell.

After a quick look...
- I think you should have a few pixels margin between 3D Accelerator Drivers and the right pane content...
- I think things like "Manuals" should still have a folder icon that becomes an open folder when you select it...
- I think you can finally add/re-add folders for "Number Nine" and "SiS" to 3D Accelerator...
- I think you should "hire" the guy who came up with the theme for the forum here to give your website even more similarity, heh...

That's all I can think of, though! 😁

Yep, those all make sense. Done.

As for the last point, what did you have in mind?

I dunno, more of the goofy pink buttons or something, it was just a passing thought. Maybe collector could tell you... It's fine as is. 😉
