don't be fucking stupid.

The 386 chips (and co-processors) are worth testing and selling. The 486 under 66mhz and under should be scrapped. the 486 chips > 66mhz are worth testing and selling.

The motherboard is worth about $5-10. Its a common socket 7 board.

the memory would have to be looked at. That large simm on top is interesting. I see a cache module in that box. I'd use that board to test all the ram. Any DIMM under 128mb should be scrapped, any SIMM under 16mb should as well. (FPM under 8mb)

Since 4K displays are coming next year to the stores, you require a quad full hd screen setup at least to look at this thread comfortably.

I would seriously recommend you to adjust your posting layout to basic human ergonomic readable dimensions.

Man, forget 56K death.... this took ages to load on my 100Mbps cable connection!

And that S7 board, might not be anything special, but it's thoughtfully laid out as least. My S7 board has the CPU socket behind the PCI slots, so you can only use one of the four for anything even remotely long.

most of those cards arent worth much, EXCEPT for the following:

Isa scsi cards. Worth testing.
INTEL nic. worth testing
the 8 bit nic. DEFINATLY worth testing. Espically a SHORT one? Usually you can get a 6-pack with these.

30 pins simms are worth testing. if the are 4mb, sell them. 1mb, I include them with some board and forget about it. 256kb I toss in the recycling bin.

I looked again at the processor pictures. you have a 386 chip with a ΣΣ on it. I would defiantly hang onto that chip. more info can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_80386#Early_problems

If you are really keen - you can solder pins onto the 30 pin SIMMs, and sell them as SIPPs. Some really old PC's and some Amiga gear uses them so even the 1MB and less sticks could be useful to the right person.

Of the sound cards you have, the Ensoniq VIVO has software-based Intelligent MPU-401 support, but it needs EMM386 loaded to work, which some games won't like. Someone might want it. I don't think its worth that much though, especially compared to the earlier Ensoniq's with the hardware based Intelligent MPU-401. The older card's wavetable patch set is also higher quality than the VIVO.

The AWE64, too, might be useful to someone, although the most sought after of these is the AWE64 GOLD (which yours isn't 🙁).

Does that SB16 box contain anything? If its complete with card disks and manual someone might want it for a collection. It's not particularly rare though even in box.

All your other Creative cards are nothing special unfortunately.

Overall, the rarest/most sought after things in this stash are the double sigma 386's.

I'm curious as to the purpose of this thread... are you selling them, are you gauging interest or looking for values? Or are you just showing off your stash (nothing wrong with that 😀 Although I wish you'd used smaller dimensions for your pictures so I don't have to keep zooming in and out as I read the thread...)

What the hell mate, make some thumbnails!!!
Other than that, these aren't worth all that much, if you sell all of them together perhaps you could make some quick buck though. One of the Pentium processors has some bent pins!

if i down size they will loose all their detail, usually thumbnails are all automatic on most of the forums i work with

example: http://www.overclock.net/t/1150309/mxm-ii-hd4 … nt-reballing/10
all those photos are 5mp

i can make thumbnails but, it's gonna take a long ass time. I was really hopping for spoiler tags the mots basic of forums have them. then you can hide and show so many pictures at a time.

i still have more stuff to photo graph but, it's gonna take a while, i'll probably remove all the photos from the first 2 posts and put, them all in 1 post formatted. perhaps i can try auto resizing on imgur perhaps it might do a decent job with robbing all the detail.

fixed an i have still have a number more coming, you have to use the URLs since spoilers don't work here. the idea was to hide the pictures till you hit the drop down box.

With imgur, you can append a t to thefilename to generate a thumbnail.

eg http://i.imgur.com/lbEDs.jpg becomes http://i.imgur.com/lbEDst

even better, replace the file extension with ?tags

eg http://imgur.com/lbEDs?tags
and you get a heap of embed codes, click 'smalol square' on the right and it will generate thumnbnail links to the full size image- the 'linked BBCode for image boards' looks like this

I am still wondering the purpose of the post. If you are giving the items away, I'd be interested in the Cyrix 33 and AMD DX4-100-WB CPUs. They aren't really worth anything, but I'd be happy to add them to my 486 CPU collection. The AMD 386 DX-40's are good to keep as many people like to build up 386 rigs and seem to favour the AMD DX-40's. Besides the double sigma CPU, the only other CPU I see in there that might be of any interest (to me and others) is the AMD DX4-100 because it is the version with 8 KB of write-back cache.

As for the expansion cards, sound blaster audio cards are always good to have around, but there are so many of them out there. They have an average value of $5.

The Intel ISA network cards might be of a little more value, perhaps $5-$15 each. A lot of 386 rig builders like to toss in a 3Com network card, so I'm not sure how the Intel units would compare.

The Adaptec 2940UW is a good card for 486 builders. It can do 40 MB/s, and a properly configured PCI-based 486 with a 40 MHz FSB can do 35-40 MB/s, so that adaptec card hits the sweet spot. It isn't unique enough to be of any value though. I just bought the version up from it for a 486 (2940U2W) for $3 + $10 shipping. SCSI equipment has gone down in price quite a bit since SATA took lead. Even 64-bit/66 MHz Ultra320 SCSI cards can be gotten for under $25.

The ISA Adpatec SCSI cards are nice, but they are still easily obtainable for cheap. They are great for 386 builds and for newer P3 era boxes if you want to add a SCSI scanner or SCSI CD-ROM. You might be lucky to get $10 each for them. I still consider them useful. Better to keep than to scrap.

I highly recommend checking eBay completed auctions to determine how much these things are worth.
