Got another question.

I have an ancient Mitsumi 1x CRMC-LUOO2S CDROM drive with the 741024A 8bit ISA controller card. I've had these for years and worked last time I had them and put them into storage, however I've misplaced the DOS driver and can no longer get them to run.

I've located a DOS driver online for the LUOO5S's Controller, and doesn't appear to be working, however the controller for the LUOO5S appears to be 16bit ISA and it's drivers may not work with my drive.

So, my question becomes this: Does anyone have a DOS driver for the LUOO2S drive?

Also, I have the option of using the Mitsumi connector on my SB16 CT2230, will the SBCD.sys driver for SB16's work with this drive?

I'll attach a photo of the drive in question.

Thanks in advance,
-MaX

Closeup of the controller card. Looking it over, I think the settings are:

DMA 3
IRQ 3
Address: 3F0h - though I'm honestly not sure.

Oh man that drive brings back memories...

It was my first CD-Rom. Single speed, but still the start of a new era.

Man you guys are quick and awesome. I'll give the drivers a try in a bit.

I got this drive over 10 years ago from a friend of mine who was it's original owner. It's been more of a conversation piece but it'd be cool to get it working again. I'd like to have it working on it's own controller card as I was hoping to use my SBPro2 on the machine instead of the SB16.

It worked! Device settings on the card were IRQ3, DMA3 and Address 300h. Worked like a charm after running the installer with the defaults set. Doesn't read CD-R's though.

I remember it came with a MS-DOS application for listening to an Audio CD. And this drive was the fastest at changing tracks 😀 It was almost instantaneous...

I used the driver with the original controller card, I didn't try it with the CT2230. No need to anymore, my i386sx is now running OK with a SB 2.0 (SBPro didn't work), the drive was even able to read a burnt CD with Win3.11 install files on it.
