I recently built my P3 games rig based on a Dell SE440BX3 motherboard and the midi from the onboard Yamaha 724 sounds beautiful!

That got me thinking about the related Gateway motherboard I have back in Oz which has a onboard AudioPCI 64.

Wiki says it more or less equal to a Soundscape Elite which I also don't know much about.
I’d be playing my dos games in Windows rather then dropping to pure dos as I think you loose fair bit of the features outside of windows.
