Does anyone know of a DOS program which lets you change the CPU multipliers on an unlocked Slot 1 PII? I have a PII-266 which I am trying to run at 2x66, or 133 MHz, using a VIA 694/596 motherboard. When I use the motherboard's DIP switch to change the multipliers, everything works fine at 2.5x, 3.0x, 3.5x, and 4.0x, except for the 2.0x setting. When set to 2.0x, the system runs at 24.33 x 5.5 and the L2 cache gets disabled.
Is there a way to stop this remapping of the FSB and multiplier? I was thinking to boot into DOS at 2.5x66, or 166 MHz, then set the multiplier down to 2.0x, and hopefully it will stay at 2.0x and not remap the FSB and multiplier. Thanks!
