Hi guys!

I have a A3D patch mdka3d3d.zip (Direct3D version). You can download it at the following link:
http://www110.zippyshare.com/v/xVTJi1u7/file.html

Unfortunately, I was not able to recover mdka3d95.zip file (Win 95 version)...
Best regards

Woah, this came out of the blue! Where'd you get this idddqd? No matter, this is beyond awesome, I've been looking for this for years now, looking for my copy of MDK as I'm typing this and will run to the nearest retro PC with Vortex 2 🤣 .

Thank you so much for sharing!

Tried to power up a particular PC with a Vortex 2 installed and was greeted with a totally dead power supply, so I haven't yet managed to fool around with this A3D patch 😵 . I believe it is fairly easy to reverse engineer the exe to include the specific patch to the vanilla Windows 95 executable if we can't get the real deal.

Anybody tried it yet? Impressions?

Well I can tell you that the No-CD string referred to in a post on page 1 exists. 😉

[EDIT] Thought it was at different offset but actually my hexeditor has offsets in hex whereas the patch was using a decimal offset.😀

Otherwise I don't own a Vortex 2 right now, so cannot try... 🙁

From back in the day:

"Aureal A3D patch no longer available"

... BOOM. One down, one to go! 😁

[EDIT] Bumped up the appropriate gog.com thread and also told FalconFly and mr. 3dgw.com. 😀

Finally got the chance to try this out. Had a blast playing through the first two levels, but I can't say the patch does much of a difference. I played using my headphones to make sure I caught any 3D effects going on. I could hear some of the doors opening get a 3D effect and maybe some enemy blaster shots but that was about it to be honest.
The vanilla game does some 3D sound positioning for the enemies, I fired up the software version right after that and could still hear enemies behind me or at an angle. Most of the soundscape being 11KHz doesn't really help.

Still, I can't believe someone found this, I thought it was pretty much a lost cause.
