Thanks for the info guys, ok, lets add the S3 Metal games to the list.

Will need to test them all with my S3 Savage card and confirm as with the other games 😀

Minor update: Dr. Brain's Action Reaction uses an UnrealEngine1 that supports SGLDrv out of the box (Includes D3DDrv, GlideDrv, OpenGLDrv, OGLdrv and the aforementioned SGLDrv)

though I haven't personally tested it yet if it officially works or not. The .int isn't all commented out at least

It was checked already. There are 7 UE1 games with PowerVR support. And 5 more games can be tweaked to use sgldrv.dll.

Asus P4P800 SE/Pentium4 3.2E/2 Gb DDR400B,
Radeon HD3850 Agp (Sapphire), Catalyst 14.4 (XpProSp3).
Voodoo2 12 MB SLI, Win2k drivers 1.02.00 (XpProSp3).

I have the pre-alpha build of Sonic X-treme running on the Nvidia NV1. Some problems with the level data that was released, so had to work it out.

More to follow later after work (including video), but I get around 20 FPS on a Pentium 133.

Awesome to hear, vetz. I knew VOGONS+Assemblergames would equal gold 😁

I hear the game (if you can call it that) itself is artificially limited to 25-30 fps so you can't do better than that...

Yes, Fly! supports the glide API. Added to my nGlide testing list. Tnx.
There are only trid3d.dll, tridx6.dll and triglide.dll in the Fly! installed game directory. So we have glide, 2 d3d (dx5 and dx6) and software (by fly.exe itself) renderers. Plus both d3d renderers can use or not AGP. No Rendition or PowerVR here.
Theoretically you can copy the corresponding .dll and try. Practically - I don't have these videocards. Plus there is a difference between "retail support" and "manually tweaked by S&M methods".
I will test all Terminal Reality games for the glide support...

P.S. 4x4 Evo - tridx7, trigl and triglide.
Blair Witch Volume One: Rustin Parr - tridx7.
Blair Witch Volume II: the Legend of Coffin Rock - triglide, trid3d, tridx6, tridx7, trigl.
Blair Witch Volume 3: the Elly Kedward Tale - tridx7.
Bloodrayne - tridx8tl, trigl.
CART Precision Racing - trid3d. And there is "leaked" triglide.
Monster Truck Madness 2 - see above.
Fly! II - tridx7, tridx8, tridx8tl.
Fly! 2k - don't have this game. IIRC it was released as a digital download only.
Nocturne - tri3dfx, trid3d, tridx6, tridx7.
So - only Monster Truck Madness 2 have PowerVR and Rendition renderers and maybe can work with them.

P.S.S. Tri3dfx.dll in Nocturne not have glide*.dll dependencies. Looks like it's a tweaked d3d6 renderer. Blair Witch Volume II: the Legend of Coffin Rock always uses d3d7 renderer. You can rename triglide to trid3d7 to force glide, but the game can't use this renderer and restarts in the software mode.

I am sorry for bumping that thread.
Can you please upload all these "tri*.dll" files you have please, i want to try find one that will work with Blair Witch II.

Yes, there are many that levels that exist that are more advanced and progressed than this one. I hope they will be released later on, as this is the only level that works on the NV1 released at the current moment. I'm actually thinking of spending some time to see if I can get the other released levels running on the NV1.

I personally think this looks quite good compared to other games for the NV1 like Nascar Racing, Virtua Fighter and Battle Arena Toshinden. It's running at full 640x480 resolution. Panzer Dragoon and Virtua Cop are the games that shows the NV1's potential the best.

I have found a PCX1 Card. Is it worth installing it in an PII-333 that has already a Voodoo3-AGP and a Voodoo1?
As far as I know, I had to put the PCX1 instead of the Voodoo1 because both do not run in one system.

Why shouldn't both work in one system? Voodoo1 uses VGA passthrough while PCX1 writes the data to the primary VGA card over PCI. If you stick to Glide/PowerSGL games you don't even need the chooser application.
For actual use a PCX2 is more interesting, slightly better performance and most of all bilinear filtering. PCX1 is IMO more of a collectors item.

They don't need to cost that much. I've seen several go for 30 USD the last year.

I've seen the recent auction on German ebay with more than 200€ if you refer to that one. Not representative, probably somebody getting impatient. PCX2 is much more common than PCX1, especially Matrox m3D. PCX1 has a higher collectors value IMO.
See here: http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?67824-So … ds-for-PC/page4
m3D sold in Germany for 20,- € this year (that is, I suppose it did sell). You just have to keep looking.
And for the new price: I don't think that's relevant, but IIRC I bought my m3D new for 35,- DM in the 90s.

Guess I found another game .... for the debunked lists 🤣

**** Descent To Undermountain ****

It seems to use the Descent engine.

Sources mention support for 3DFX, Rendition V1000, Rendition V2200 & ATI 3D Rage Pro.

Tried it on a Rendition Verité V2200 and of course it's software mode 🙁

Yes, I've seen this disc before. The game is a 2D platformer using DirectDraw.

I guess we can add "Nascar Racing 1999 Edition" to the Rendition games list.
Thanks to Gamecollector
Re: Voodoo 2 DOS Glide compatibility matrix

Nascar Racing 1999 Edition - no DOS installer, DOS and Win32 glide executables. AFAIK is the only glide game with DOS and Win32 versions.
Plus there are DOS software, Win32 software (ddraw?) and DOS Rendition executables.

It crashes on my Vérité V2200 before the menu should show up. I had to disable the PowerVR HAL of my PowerVR PCX2 card, to make Rendition games work, but NR1999 still crashes.
Rendition is officially supported as mentioned in the readme files.

To start the Rendition version of the game from DOS, type NR1999R <enter> from your NASCAR Racing 1999 Edition directory.
To start the Rendition version of the game from Windows 95, click on the NASCAR Racing 1999 Edition icon in your Sierra folder.

I will try a newer driver version since the game was released after the last Hercules drivers. Maybe I should remove glide2x.dll from Windows\System folder.
The demo version doesn't have any Rendition files.

"NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Racing" is actually a part of Nascar Racing 1999 Edition but is also available as a standalone game. I don't think they removed the Rendition support.

btw. NR1999 works really good with the "BigRRed" glide to RRedline wrapper (Hercules driver Version 0.85.3596).

I really would like to see someone confirming Rendition support.
