Hello, I just got an Audigy 2 ZS recently and I wanted to install it on a fast Tualatin system and possibly do a dual boot setup. However I can't find any drivers for Win98SE for this card. It seems as if only WDM drivers are available and these are for WinME and up.
Can I use those on Win98SE?
Creative's website does not have any Win98SE drivers btw, I already checked.
Hmm I got the Audigy 2 LS drivers from the Creative site. But yea, they don't seem to have the drivers for the ZS.
Have you checked the VOGONS driver archive?
Yep, I can only find the Audigy Driver Disc, apparently this is Audigy 1, I have no idea if the drivers will work with my card. I have no experience with the Audigy cards, I just happened to find an Audigy 2 ZS at a good price 😜
It mentions drivers from the CD here: http://forums.creative.com/showthread.php?t=44279 so there were some at some point 😀
I can upload the Audigy 2 driver CD to Vogonsdrivers if that would be of help...
but the login functionality doesn't work 🙁 (I've PM'ed Squallstrife about it, but no fix)
Yeah, I downloaded the Audigy 2 ZS driver disk and there is a folder named VxD, so it probably has Win98SE drivers. I'll try it and give you a heads up.
I'd like somebody to hack together a way to install the VXD drivers without using the CD at all. It takes so long to run the CD install, and then you need to reboot a few more times to switch from WDM to VXD.
