Yeah it is possible that there were some spam accounts left over, I think most have now been deleted 😁

I started a new page for Aureal Semiconducter. I'd add more, but I am oblivious when it comes to formatting articles. Does it matter if the aesthetics don't appear professional?

Do not refrain from refusing to stop hindering yourself from the opposite of watching nothing other than that which is by no means porn.

What about this fact in the article about AMD CPUs:

Keep in mind that at 600MHz, most onboard cache (L3 Cache when using K6+ chips) will have to be disabled as it won't be able to cope with the high frequency.

Someone can explain me the technical reason behind higher frequency of the onboard (then) L3 cache? I don't see why it should run at 6x100 MHz above the specified 100 MHz.

I heard that there are some enemies with homing missiles or something like that later in the game and it becomes impossible to dodge those when it's running too fast. IMO here (albeit with 3dfx) it pretty much runs how it's supposed to.

Hmm, 3dfx... maybe using those patches (either official or unofficial) can cap the framerate? I won't be including source ports that deviate from the original platform in the list. That solution is too obvious anyway.

Hi Guys,

Just dropping in. Spam has been solved with the manual approval which is good, but we need more posts! 😁

Also I am more than happy for users to upload images on the wiki for use on these forums. Think of it as free image hosting that doesn't have ads 😀

Obviously please only upload relevant images.

EDIT: Also the wiki is rating very well in google, I am getting lots of hits to the site from random people googling things such as "s3 virge games" and sound cards seem popular too.

This I noticed as well. I'm contemplating taking some more pics of my soundcards, though I won't be writing anything for soundcards as my knowledge about them is quite limited, particularly compared to the vast knowledge some of you guys here have 😀

Edit:Well, I've written 2 quick articles (consider them stubs) but it would be a shame if there was noone around anymore to clean up the mess I made 😁
One article is a generic way about how to identify hardware though it is missing pictures for now (I'll take some pictures when I have the time to make some nice ones 😀 : link

The second article is a stub about Cyrix Socket 7 CPU's, though after rereading it, I'm not so happy about the way the article seems to discourage the use of Cyrix processors even though I kinda like the 2.2v parts 😊 so any help in cleaning it up is welcome 🤣. Link

Edit2: I did a couple articles and I'm rediscovering how much fun it is to write them 😊
This time I wrote a couple stubs about removable media, since there was literally nothing written about them yet.

Nice work! Glad to see it being used.

I'm going to work on some SGI stuff over the next couple of weeks.

Added both the VIA verified Compatibility List which seems to have been removed from the VIA website to Vogons Wiki and edited the VIA CPU page a little bit.
I also added the lists mentioned here Re: Good Pentium 3 Board with ISA and Tualatin Support? to Vogons Wiki as it might be a nice reference, though at the moment it's an orphaned page.

The idea originated as a question about s370 boards with both native Tualatin support and the presence of an ISA slot, though the lists I added don't actually answered this question, I think they might still have a use and could be the basis for perhaps a list of Tualatin boards with ISA slots?

Personally I'll probably not be using an ISA card with a Tualatin, but others might find it useful.

Work is being done regarding adding new content to the wiki, for example here Good Pentium 3 Board with ISA and Tualatin Support?
This will probably result in one or several lists of motherboards with certain features which are often asked about here on Vogons, like what are all boards capable of Tualatin, which s370 boards support DDR, Which Tualatin boards come with one or more ISA slots, that kinda stuff.
It's looking really nice 😀

I could list all changes here, but I think it's much simpler to simply view the most recent changes on the wiki itself.
