Im wondering if anyone has any experience with this mini motherboard and a Cyrix 5x86 CPU

The board appears to support 3.6volts and 512k cache.

Also the documentation advises jumper settings for Cyrix 586 CPU's.

supports CPU voltages 3.3, 3.45, 3.6, 4.0, 5.0V
support CPU clock of 25,33,40,50MHz
uses ZIF CPU socket 3

That picture is from one of Pingaloka's Ebay auctions. He should be able to answer 😀

Beside that it's the same board as:
PCChips M921
UMC 8880 486 PCI M/B
ST1A REV.B
SYL8884

Plenty of info on the M921 here on Vogons. I got the board myself.

See this helpful website for more info: http://th2chips.freeservers.com/syl8884/

Smallest 486 MOBO I've seen
Help me decide Pentium Overdrive 83@100mhz vs Pentium 90

The board pictured in the first thread appears to have the L2 cache intact!

Oh I've already read those threads. I thought "plenty" was something more than 2-3 threads.
Tomorrow arrives a 486 so I'm gonna test my identical mini-baby-board with that! Thanks 😀

PS: Mine has fake cache of course...

It has been mentioned in more threads by name than in threads with useful information, but I posted and searched afterwards 😜

It's a 5-10% performance hit. If you put in a quicker CPU than planned like the AMD X5 133mhz then it doesn't matter tbh. Those games that can't be run on a 486 system, L2 cache won't help.
