Hello,
I'm an happy user of this PC since 10 years:

CPU: 486 dx2 66mhz
Motherboard: ELITEGROUP UM 486V 256kB cache ( strange beast visually, maybe a clone)
Memory: 8MB simm 30pins
Video: Cirrus Logic CL-GD542X VLB 1MB
Sound: SB CT2290 + MT32

Full I/O VLB card + flashcard

Pretty good machine can even play Tomb Raider.

BUT... Lately I found an dx4 100 ODPR.
I installed it and.... My L2 cache is no longer detected 😳

The amibios ( pretty old 1992 version) erroneously detect the cpu as a dx2 80 but all other diagnostic program detect it as a dx4 100 with correct speed.
Of course my L2 is perfectly functional (thanks cachechk) once I set back the dx2...

Any ideas 😕

My first guess would be that some jumpers are set wrong.

Well, I tried all possible jumper setting for the cpu and cache size with no result.
Yet in theory the ODPR use the exact same setting than the dx33 or dx2/66 (fsb33)...

The motherboard "seem" compatible with pentium overdrive and not with the dx4 ( yet it only have 5V cpu power, therefore the ODPR) 😲

I suspect an outdated bios problem 😖
