Hello, I yesterday got into 4 486 boards, 2 of which I cannot identify.

The 1st one is a Soyo board with SIS chipset, ISA/VLB, with real cache and 4x30pin simm slots & 2x72pin. It has a voltage regulator and some real cache.

The 2nd is more interesting. Again, we have some sort of Soyo board, with SIS chipset, PCI/ISA/VLB, 4x72pin simms, real cache, onboard 2 channel IDE controller & floppy & COM and voltage regulator. Which one is this? 😕

Look at that little turd of a barrel battery. I've never seen one that small on a motherboard before. I'm surprised it's not leaking yet.

I'll give you a hint about who makes your boards: Get on TH99 and look up Soyo under 486 motherboards. They should both be there.

And the second one is a SY-045A2/A5. --> THANKS Anonymous Coward, that was a site I didn't know!
The first one works good but does not accept EDO ram.
The second one I just fried by inserting the CPU inappropriately... Now even selecting 5v and putting a 486DX/33 it doesn't even get warm. 🙁

As for the barrel batteries, the first one that works seems to have even a little charge remaining! 😁
