I really hate looking at Windows 95. I have a 3Com EtherLink III on this 5x86 160.

Thanks.

You could use mTCP on MS-DOS, and run FileZilla on a modern system to access data.

Mau1wurf1977 posted about it here:
Reese's Intel Pentium build!

He didn't use a 3com, but when I tried it out on my system, I used a 3com Etherlink III. 😀

If you need the drivers, here is a link to them: http://r3tr0.de/mirror/ftp.mpoli.fi/hardware/ … 3COM/index.html

Please, step into my parlor ... http://www.brutman.com/mTCP/

mTCP includes an FTP client, FTP server, Telnet client, DHCP client, IRC client, SNTP client, Ping, Netcat and HTGet. It runs on everything from an 8088 at 4.77Mhz with 256KB to the latest virtual machines. All you need is the packet driver for your card, and with the EtherLink III that is not going to be a problem.

mTCP is the way to go, no more windows booting just to transfer files

I currently use Windows 3.11 and Total Commander VIA LTP because it was the easiest thing i could think off 😀
On the Vectra 5 XU i achieve 75kB/s transfer rate.
