I purchased this one from an ebay seller for a while ago, without thinking much when seller accepted my offer:

It turns out to be a Actiontech PC700 PNP card and drive combo. I decided to put that into my latest build (an ATX Pentium MMX) since it will be nice to have hot plug CF card capability (in front, no less), with the additional benefit of not wasting an IDE port for a hard-to-reach backplate CF/IDE adapter.

The machine recognized and successfully configured the pnp card, windows 98 also recognized the card and installed the drivers I found from producers support site. At that point everything was nice and dandy.

Now, here Is the problem. Yes, when I insert the CF card/PCMCIA adapter combo into any of the drives two slots, it clearly recognizes that I just pushed something into it: "Empty Slot X" thurns in "Slot X" in PCCard Properties Menu (please see the picture attached) but nothing more happens. What should I do more to see this CF card as a disk?

I tried this with two different CF/PCMCIA adapters and many different CF cards (from 256MB to 2 GB) which works fine with my XP box (it has a PCI PC card adapter).

Any help will be appreciated deeply..😀
