Apparently Opti ISA Chipset 82C931 aka "Opti Audio 16" isn't even a 16-bit card. It's a Soundblaster Pro 1.0 (not 2.0/Old) clone. Weird considering I was under the impression that it was a SB16 clone.

There are no SB16 clones apart from some ALS and CMI sound chips.

The 82C931 does 16 bit using WSS, just like most other cards from that time. Also, it's certainly NOT a SB Pro 1.0 clone, as then it would do stereo FM using two OPL2s.

Well its detected, and running as a SB Pro 1. Stereo sound is working fine.

Try a game that uses dual OPL2, it won't work.

Anyway, repaired an ATX PSU today and desoldered lots of caps, piezo speakers, and USB ports from three old mainboard befor scapping them.

Upgraded my Optiplex GX1 from Pentium II 350MHz to a 1GHz Celeron via slocket. Works like a charm! Just had to zip tie it all in there.

Restored an ASRock K7S41GX Socket A mainboard from the pile of scrap mainboards I got lately. Has a Duron 800 now, 512 MB DDR RAM, new coolers etc. May use it in the future for a ME/XP build.

I have the Pentium 4 version of that asrock board. It actually is a neat little board. I used it for a while as a hard drive sanitizer. Still have it, I just use a usb adapter now. 😜

I saved this pair from a scrap lot for $15 shipped. An Aureal Vortex 2 SQ2500 and a Diamond Monster Sound MX400. I'm quite happy about that. The MX400 has some scratches around the ports on the back from the back plate being removed, but the seller actually found the plates and reinstalled them for me before shipping these out (I had mentioned that I'm not a scrapper and intend to use or fix them if necessary). I'm honestly still amazed. They definitely have good feedback coming their way...

One SMD electrolytic missing from the MX400, but it is the same exact type that most Voodoo cards use from this era, so I have a bunch of them. They're easy to replace.

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

Seems so. I did not test all of them yet, for many I don't even have a fitting CPU. From 3 tested, 2 worked, which is a good rate so far. 5 were beyond repair (not even tested due to severe physical damage).
