I was able to download old Nvidia drivers from their servers. Nvidia has done away with old driver support but they are still there... at least for now.

Win9X Driver Page

http://www.nvidia.com/object/win9x_archive.html

Win 2k/XP Driver Page

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html

Howto

click the driver you want to download
copy the link of the primary download server (didn't try others)
paste link in a new tab and edit the URL
hit enter

so javascript:_acceptLicense('http://download.nvidia.com/Windows/Quadro_Cer … .84_winxp2k.exe'); becomes http://download.nvidia.com/Windows/Quadro_Cer … .84_winxp2k.exe

At first I thought it was just a popup blocker but nvidia is redirecting the accept link back to their home page. Who knows how long until they scrub their servers of old files?

Nice!

But they don't seem to go back very far. Still I will try to download them all!

Let me know how you go.

There are other sites with more drivers, I really got to download them all one day. Ideally it would be a FTP that you can just grab everything.

Should be split the load then upload to Vogons driver archive? Or DropBox first and someone puts them all together into one massive zip?

PS: Here we go, I got projects coming out of my ears and already onto the next one 🤣

Phil,

Perhaps older drivers still exist on their servers. We could try forming a URL to one. Their FTP site is not navigatable:(

So pick a driver version and edit URL.

http://download.nvidia.com/Windows/xx.yy/xx.yy_win9x.exe

edit for clarity: blah.blah/Windows/xx.yy/xx.yy_win9x.exe

If I knew a specific version I would try

I remember using a "better" site ages ago. I will first grab all the 9x drivers and put them on my site then see if I can find the old ones. Could have been Guru3D or something like that.

I believe Guru3D does have a bunch of old Nvidia drivers still available, just don't know if all the links there still work or not. Only way to find out is to try them all one by one.

I also have a few old drivers archived in a CD-R; the oldest one I have for Win9x is 5.13 for both PCI and AGP cards, dated 03-2000.

Ooohh, the pain......

Sorry to bring up an old post, but I stumbled across this today and thought it might be helpful.

The old NVIDIA FTP site got replaced by an HTTP equivalent, you can now go here:

http://http.download.nvidia.com/Windows/

Yes, that's two http's. A lot of websites seem to be obsoleting FTP. Looks like everything is still there.
