Hi, i have MB 5dvx.. i cant use mouse on COM1 port.. why? HWinfo give me normal information about COM1, and COM1 is detected by windows 95 too..
mouse works on previous 486dx.. on this mb doesnt work:/
Is this the motherboard you have? (and no, I don't have it; I just found this pic while searching)
It's quite possible that you don't have the right serial port header cable. 486 and Pentium AT boards have 2 different COM port pinouts and need the cables that came with them to work:

If you have other serial header cables then try them out.
