So recently I restored Toshiba Protege 3110CT. I love it. It is small and nicly designed laptop
PII 300Mhz 64 mb sdram, 6gb hdd, Trident Cyber9525
It has only external floppy drive, so I installed dos 7.1 and usb driver. Everything works fine, except sound...
According to manual. It has ESS ES1978 (16-bit stereo, .WAV and Sound Blaster(r) Procompatible, MIDI playback)
I downloaded somewhere drivers.
I put maestro.com and mstrinf.ini in C:\
I put line
devicehigh=c:\sound\aecu.sys
in config.sys and
loadhigh=c:\maestro.com
set blaster=a220 d1 i5 t4
in autoexec.bat.
However when I boot, all I got is this
ESS PCI Audio DOS Device Driver, Version 2.30D
(c) ESS Technol....
Maestro-2E
Please enable DOS SB in Windows
and second time, same thing but after Maestro-2E there is:
Incorrect resource assignment
What should I do? I was planning to use it for gaming and mod/s3m/xm player 🙁
